fishing getaway

Stayed here to be between Traverse Bay and Charlevoix for a few days of fishing. Quiet country road and space to unwind after a day on the water.

Overall, the house was fairly clean except for a few things. The fan blades on the overhead fans were coated with dust. I cleaned the one in the bedroom so I could use it. The counter was also open on the end near the stove and I dropped something in the gap, which was difficult to remove. The doors and some of the walls had dirty fingerprints on them. It would have been nice to have more information around regarding how everything worked. The dishwasher just has a bunch of symbols on it that didn’t come with instructions. The fireplace would go on when the house reached a certain temp but not sure what temp. The TV had 2 remotes but no instructions.For safety sake the shower needs a textured mat. The floor of the shower is very slippery.Everything else was fine and the view of the area was nice up on the hill. There was everything you may need as far as dishes, pans, condiments, etc. The owners were very nice.

This place was a very nice place to stay. It was clean. It was quiet. It was nicely decorated. It was close to the downtown, which had some great restaurants and close to the water. There was space to park our boat in the driveway. I would stay again.

This cabin was ideal for what we needed. We were within 8 miles of all the activities we were attending. It is on a dirt road and Google Maps told us to park and walk a short distance, but that was not true - parked right on the property.

Fantastic location, setting and cozy space!

This place was a perfect setting for our family of seven! The porches are a fantastic sitting place for enjoying the scenery, listening to the kiddos run around in the yard after a trip to Charlevoix! Cozy setting with plenty of space for everyone, loved the little touches like coffee and condiments. My kids found a new game they loved to play during our stay! Fantastic stay, will visit again!
