We had a great experience- the rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed— the host was great to work with and the location was within walking distance of historic homes and a coffee shop. Would definitely recommend this VRBO if you’re in the area!!
Our host, Sarah, was excellent and always available to answer questions. The location of the home is close to the water and downtown Wilmington. All necessities were available to make the stay great. We would definitely stay there again!
The place was very clean and beds were great. Its needs done nice touches. Kitchen was adequate , very nice space but dishwasher needs updating. I had to reinstall half the door gasket to use it. Bathrooms are nice. Outside was a mess due to construction next door. Front steps could use some fixing up, 2x4's as railings should be fixed up. Host was responsive about a lighting issue.
It was a great place to stay. Close to all things you need with either a quick drive or walk. Quite area as well. Overall 10/10!!! Loved the big bathtub and wife loved the shower seat! Definitely worth the price!

Lovely stay
Thank you for a lovely stay. Perfect location for what we needed.
My husband, mom and I had a great experience on this property. It was close to our visiting destination, super clean with everything needed, quiet and a place to sit outside. Would definitely stay again.
The property was just fine. It could use a little love in some areas but it was comfortable. We were there for the Half Ironman and were able to cook for our athletes. It would have been nice if there had been an icemaker or ice trays. There was construction next door from 7 am to 7 pm but we survived. The back yard was unusable for that reason. That is beyond the owners control. The area was very pedestrian friendly and that was a plus during the triathlon. Our host was very responsive. A good weekend!
not sure if fully equipped for cooking - only used coffee maker. no pets with us so did not notice how pet friendly it was. noted several broken mini blinds slats upon arrival as well as umbrella on table on back porch appeared broken. Internet signal too weak to run apps on TV. Drains in both bathroom were slow.
The check-in was a breeze. Sarah is incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately, the fridge broke while we were there and some groceries spoiled. However, Sarah sent a handyman over very quickly (and on a weekend), and gave us a cooler with bags of ice in the mean time. There was a new fridge by Saturday which was incredible timing.
The location is close to everything. The inside of the house is very nice but the outside needs some curb appeal. Would be nice to use the off street parking area.
I loved the safety of the big fenced yard for our dogs. The house was more than adequate for our purposes (attending a wedding). I was surprised by the VRBO fees; I should have read the small print
While the property is listed as new it appears to be a recent flip with moderate upgrades and touch ups. While I would not consider it as new, it’s clean and well maintained and a close safe walk to downtown. Our pets loved the fenced in yard.
Very nice house, had everything needed, well-stocked kitchen. Great location near restaurants, etc. Only drawback was a large gap in the front of the fence by the sidewalk that even a medium-sized dog could easily get through, so dogs had to be monitored at all times in the yard - took away from the benefit of a fully fenced yard which was the main appeal of this listing for me.
Great space, Accurate listing, Timely communication
Sarah's property was exactly as described. It was clean and well appointed. Our family was very comfortable staying. The home is in the historic district. There is plenty of parking and neighbors are friendly. You are close to everything Wilmington has to offer and in walking distance to several area attractions. I would recommend this home.

Scheduled Water outage to home and host refused refund
I was disappointed in the host’s response to a significant problem at checkin. Upon arrival there was a letter on the door from the local public utility indicating that the home would have a water outage during our stay then a boil advisory whenever water service resumed, due to scheduled water line repair the next day. That means no water for flushing toilets and bathing and no water to drink, brush teeth, cook. This was not disclosed to us prior to checkin. I notified host that we would only stay one night annd asked for refund for the remainder of our stay, as the home is not habitable without water service. Host said they could not refund and instructed me to call VRBO customer service. We checked out of property after one night, notified host, and sent copy of water outage notice to them. The host then claimed to VRBO that the water outage was a “non-issue” because they offered to bring drinking water (which provided no resolution to toilets and bathing).
Host was helpful and quick to respond back when I had questions. House was in a quiet neighborhood. The lot beside the house did have construction happening while we there but it wasn’t too rough. Street parking only.

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it is a quiet street with friendly neighbors, yet is around the corner from local shops and restaurants on Castle St and a short walk to the heart of downtown. Its central location in downtown Wilmington feels safe and peaceful with plenty to do within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique given its extensive yard accommodations and fencing for having dog guests. The home is recently renovated with new flooring, cabinets, bathroom vanities, tile and more. You won’t find many like it available downtown!
