Quaint little cabin

Small but cozy cabin, very comfortable stay. Nice little neighborhood with a pond to walk down to. Very friendly host that was extremely hospitable! Nice routes to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg… with one route bypassing the busy streets of Pigeon Forge which was great.

First and foremost—- DO NOT FOLLOW THE GPS, only follow the instructions provided. The road is closed about 1/4 mile down and blocked by a pile of rocks. There is no place to turn around and it’s dangerous to reverse down a one lane path down a mountain. The cabin was great. The water pressure was a little low at times, but overall everything at the cabin was great. We loved the view and the location. We did not use the bath tub, but did enjoy the hot tub. We had a great trip, checked out local moonshine distilleries, and enjoyed Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.Now for the negative: We followed through with the check out instructions. We placed the empty cardboard carry boxes for the wine/moonshine in the bear proof trash can, wiped the counters, started the dishwasher, lowered the hot tub temp, raised the AC, and put the towels in the washer per the check out instructions. Sadly I did not take pictures of the house or check out instructions before we left. The house was left the house in good condition at check out (almost zero mess). Upon arriving home I realized I was missing a pair of flip flops, so I emailed the owner. We checked everything before we left, and no one else in our family was missing any other items. The owner responded in a rather curt manner. I have attached their response and mine. I have used Vrbo/homeaway/airbnb for over 10 years without any incidents. I have multiple positive reviews. I have never had an owner respond in this manner.

Enjoy making sure our Cabin is always very clean, the Hot tub is emptied and cleaned between every Guest stay, and enjoy making updates. In early 2024 when we purchased HAPPY CUB CABIN, we immediately converted the upstairs Queen bed/furniture to a KING-Size Suite with upgraded furnishings. And converted the downstairs from futon-only to a Queen-size suite with the futon as well.

Why they chose this property

Happy Cub Cabin is located in Hidden Lake Estates, all privately-owned Cabins. It is very quiet neighborhood and the HOA maintains the roads in and out. The homeowners are so very nice and keep our neighborhood safe for all owners and Guests. It is only a short 15 min drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas.

What makes this property unique

LOCATION: Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet so Quiet for early morning sitting on back balcony to eat while overlooking stocked fish pond 3 minutes away. By having the Master Suite upstairs, the 2nd Queen Suite downstairs, both couples / family have total privacy, while the Main floor offers all the Common areas and a half bath. Getting to cabin, you do NOT have steep & narrow roads like many cabins offer.
