Summary:

Welcome to your cozy hotel-style studio at Schuss Mountain, part of the beautiful Shanty Creek Resort. This is the perfect basecamp for ski weekends, summer golf trips, and four-season Northern Michigan adventures—with the chairlift just a short walk away.



The Space:

This comfortable and private studio is ideal for couples, friends, or quick weekend getaways. After a full day on the slopes or course, unwind in:

• Two queen beds with cozy bedding

• Mini-fridge, microwave & coffee maker

• Small dining/work table with two chairs

• Dedicated workspace for remote work



Traveling with a larger group? A connecting adjoining room is available to rent—perfect for families or friends who want to stay close while enjoying separate spaces. (Inquire for availability.)



Guest Access:

• Easy self check-in with private entrance

• Free on-site parking





You’re just a short walk to the blue quad chairlift, making early morning ski runs simple and stress-free—without needing to drive or hassle with parking.

Staying at the base of Schuss Mountain puts you right in the heart of resort action:

A quick 10–15 minute drive brings you to downtown Bellaire, where you’ll find restaurants, boutiques, a movie theater, and the famous Short’s Brewing Company.



Getting Around:

• Walk to the ski lift during winter

• Easy parking for exploring the full resort and Bellaire

• A car is recommended for town dining, shopping, and nearby lake visits



Other Things to Note:

There is a pool pass included with this rental, however you will need to bring your own pool towels to use at the pool.

We do supply coffee and hot cocoa for warming up after outdoor adventures.

Rental will be stocked with starter rolls of Toilet paper and paper towel. You may want to bring extra if you think you will need more!

Very basic--basically a hotel room and a little outdated, but suited our needs fine and had a great location near Bellaire and Shanty Creek. It's overpriced for sure, but so is every rental property now, it seems.

Great jump off point for the area. I stayed here with my two kids, and it was an easy functional home base for our trip. We spent our days heading to Bellaire, Alden, Brownwood, and hanging out with family at their cabin on Lake Bellaire; this spot offered us easy access. The unit is easy to access from the parking lot, the building is quiet, and the beds are VERY comfortable! Great little extras in the room like keurig with pods, extra chairs, fridge, freezer, microwave, and some games. And again-the beds were SOOOOO comfortable!
