Easy half mile walk to all the Historic Sights and Restaurants in Downtown St Augustine. You'll feel like you are back in time. Strolling Old World Walking Streets. Romantic Lighting. Outdoor Music filling the air. Forget your car. Here everyone "Walks". Yet you are only 3 miles to Vilano Beach or 5 miles to the St Aug Beach Pier. We provide Beach Chairs, Towels & Boogie Boards. You will fall in love with this Classic 1920 Home from Henry Flagler's original Model Land Company. It has been lovingly restored in 2016 (my me) to Better than New. Original Heart of Pine Floors throughout. Everything else NEW but in "Old Style" with Marble Baths, Ship Lap wall and cool gray colors.
KITCHEN - New White Shaker Kitchen with lots of Glass. Popular Gray Granite Counters. All Stainless appliance + Gas Stove. Two Islands. One with a Microwave "Drawer." I had never seen one before and just fell in love. The other wraps around the Fireplace and opens onto the central Greatroom/Dining area. And my favorite, the Ship Lap walls that tie it all together.
2 GREATROOMS - Designed for flexibility there are actually 2 Greatrooms. Each with Wall Mounted Big Screen TVs. My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.
So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Great Restaurants within walking distance. Amazing.
And then I discovered the charm of Downtown St Augustine. At night it is like strolling in an old European City. So in 2016 I decide to moved Downtown and renovated 4 more Downtown Vacation Rentals. Ranging from 1 to 4 Bedrooms all walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music and only 2 blocks from each other. Great for Downtown Weddings with the Bride taking one house and the Groom the other.

So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Great Restaurants within walking distance. Amazing.
And then I discovered the charm of Downtown St Augustine. At night it is like strolling in an old European City. So in 2016 I decide to moved Downtown and renovated 4 more Downtown Vacation Rentals. Ranging from 1 to 4 Bedrooms all walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music and only 2 blocks from each other. Great for Downtown Weddings with the Bride taking one house and the Groom the other.
