A Cozy, 1920 Home Within Walking Distance Of The Lake, Downtown And Park
Undergoing renovation right now! This is my 1920 home in the historic Fort Grounds Neighborhood. It easily accommodates 10 people with three queen beds and one double, as well as a hide-a-bed, sleeping porch and floor space for many more. The front porch and deck are wonderful gathering places, but its proximity to the lake, City Park and downtown are the true jewels. The renovation includes granite countertops and new backsplash, updated lighting, new aggregate patio, refinished fir floors, more spacious front porch, new furniture and and fresh paint throughout!

I take advantage of the location of my home, enjoying the Centennial Trail, walks downtown for coffee, and at least a couple of swims every summer day at the beach at the end of the street.

Why Owner chose Fort Grounds
The location of my home is a great asset, and you'll find the home clean, well-taken care and a comfortable place in which to relax.
What makes this House unique
Two fireplaces, DISH TV...but most importantly, the front porch and proximity to Lake Coeur d'Alene, downtown, City Park and the Centennial Trail.

Had everything we needed
The house was perfect for our group! It was a great size and the location is amazing! We got to meet the owner and he was so helpful and easy going, which was a bonus.
I would definitely come back there again!! Thanks Dave!
Very nice, well equipped with everything a family would want
We very much enjoyed our stay
Wonderful family gathering place
We had four families and four kids ages 1 to 9 so we were a busy group. The house dynamics allowed quiet spots for naps and running places that were safe for all. We were close to our boat slip and walked everywhere we wanted to go. Eating meals together was important to us and we were able to do that easily. We all loved the gas stove and washer and dryer. We gathered on the deck and the front porch for conversations. The personal interests of the owner led to interesting discussions about music, art and juggling!
Comfortable and Charming, Perfect for Families!
We spent 4 nights here during the summer with an extended family group. The layout of the house made it perfect for us to spend time together, but to have privacy as well. Everything was clean and comfortable but not fussy, so we felt we were able to make ourselves at home. The neighborhood is simply charming, so green and shady and filled with summer color; Front porch sitting was the favorite activity of the grandparents in our group. And the house is a short walk straight down the road to the lake, only a few blocks from a beautiful park (with a playground even the teenagers thought was magical), and an easily manageable distance to the boardwalk and downtown shops. David was friendly and easy to work with and communicated with us promptly.
There is so much to do in the area that we were out and about much of the time, but the house is so cozy I would have liked more time just to sit and read a book! The only mildly uncomfortable thing was that it was an unusually warm week and the house does not have air conditioning. Plenty of fans were provided, however, and by opening windows at night and closing them in the mid-morning we were able to cool it down. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Within two blocks is a quiet beach, City Park and the Centennial Trail. It is a ten-minute walk to vibrant downtown, and Silverwood Theme Park is 25 minutes away.
