5 min to C&O Canal trail, 20 minutes from Whitetail Ski Resort and 1 1/2 hour drive to DC (you can also drive 53 minutes on US 70&270 to metro station between Gaithersburg and Rockville, MD and relax on the 45 minute ride into DC). Also close to Shenandoah National Park, Potomac River, northern Virginia, southwestern Pennsylvania and northwest West Virginia. Make yourself at home in this 1910 updated 3-bedroom Williamsport retreat. This fantastic cottage has a king bedroom downstairs and a queen bed, and 2 twins upstairs. There is fully stocked kitchen, 1 bath with shower and bathtub downstairs, 1 bath with shower upstairs, washer and dryer, beautiful front porch, and a backyard garden retreat ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. The front porch is great for relaxing, reading a book, have a morning coffee or evening drink and people watching! Enjoy the convenience of amenities like an electric grill, desk work area on second floor, free WiFi (fiber high speed 250mbps and USB plugs in every room), 4 smart TV’s and many small kitchen appliances. There is also a fire pit in the back yard chimney (furnish your own wood but do not use as a grill, use the electric grill).
We look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful cottage. We have stocked our cottage with all the necessities you might need including snacks and toiletries. It isn’t wheel chair acceptable outside but it is inside on the 1st floor. Our wonderful property manager Ashley lives on the same street and will do yard work once a week. She will be available for any questions or emergencies also. Secure bike storage available upon request in the carriage house out back.

Do not park on street on Fridays during the day! You will be ticketed! The street sweeper and trash trucks come on Fridays.
Trash day is Friday. Roll trash cans to curb Thurs. evening and back to house Fri. evening. Trash in plastic bags and boxes stacked at curb.

We had a lovely stay at this cozy house in Williamsport. We were in town to visit family for the holidays and the host even decorated the house for us so that it was more festive. We have already mentioned this home to friends of ours from the area who have moved away and might want a nice place to stay when they visit.

We came to visit grandchildren in .Hagerstown and found the location ideal. We happened to be in town when the grand display of lights was in full swing in Byron Park.

Roomy, comfortable and very clean

My brother and I stayed at this property during a relocation transition. We loved the homey feel of this property. It was clean, well supplied with the necessities and beautifully decorated. It felt like home. The bonus was the owner, who was so helpful and avaliable to assist with whatever we needed. The property manager who lives next door was also very helpful when we needed to do laundry and could not find the washing machine and dryer. She was there promptly to help us. I only have one suggestion. Please provide a full length mirror in the master bedroom or bathroom. I had to trust that all looked okay below the neck area when I left the house. This is not a biggy but will further enhance this property. Thank you Glorious for providing us with such a pleasant home away from home. Blessings. Marian and David.

Don is originally from Kansas and moved to Raleigh, NC area when he was hired as a clarinetist in the NC Symphony.
Gloria is a native of NC and was a scientist for 42 years. Don is still a musician and Gloria enjoys crochet, quilting and cooking. Our biggest joys are the kids and grands!
We both love to travel and always try to stay at other Airbnb properties on our travels.
Providing our guest with a welcoming and comfortable stay in our cottage is our main objective. We have set it up for comfort and functionality, so hopefully our guest agree that it’s perfect for them too!
Our property manager Ashley lives on the same street and can address any concerns you may have or emergencies at the house. She also does the yard upkeep, so you may see her going in and out of the storage building in the back, watering plants and mowing/weed eating in the afternoons or on weekends. She will try to do the yard work when you are not home but sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate!
We were super host for many years of 2 beach properties before selling them a few years ago when we got an offer we couldn’t turn down!

Why they chose this property

We have family and friends in the area that we love to visit. Also we love the scenic beauty and historical areas.
Williamsport is a quant and peaceful little town that is in the process of revitalization. The town loves to decorate for and celebrate holidays in a big way.

What makes this property unique

This cottage was built around 1910 and had structural renovations done around 2011.
There are only a few Airbnb properties available in Williamsport and we are the only one with a yellow door!
We purchased the house in September 2024 and have updated it some more to make it into a cozy cottage! The accomplishments we enjoy the most are the gardens in front and back!
It has a 1st floor bedroom and bath and the rest of the 1st floor is an open concept. The back entrance has only 3 steps with railings from the gravel parking area, to enter the house. We have added suction grab bars in the 1st floor tub (if not in tub they are in the linen closet for you to place where you need them) and a shower chair is available also.
The front porch is my favorite place to relax! Neighbors on the street are very friendly and sit outside in the evenings to people watch and talk to each other.
We have stocked the kitchen with many small appliances and utensils, so it’s ready made for a chef to create amazing meals! There are some pantry items and condiments available too if you need them!
There is an electric grill that can be used outside. Utensils and grilling forks are stored in the pantry.
We have a fire extinguisher and fire blanket under the kitchen sink. Upstairs in the closet across from the bathroom is a fire ladder and fire blanket.
Secure bike storage and bike washing hose are available when requested.
