Perfect for large families or groups

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Hale Pa'ani for 9 nights in June 2016. All of us commented separately as soon as we entered the house that the photos didn't do it justice and that it was going to be perfect for our stay.

There was nothing that we needed that this house didn't provide...except we couldn't find a kettle anywhere and used a pot instead. There was however plenty of coffee supplies and makers and a huge range of other kitchen equipment. The linen was plentiful and good quality. The beach equipment handy (although one bike kept droppings its chain). We had our own snorkels but there were a number of options there as well.

We travelled with 2 families of 4 adults and 5 kids in total (young kids aged <1 to 5 years old) and this house catered for all our needs. Would definitely recommend staying here if you were in a similar situation. There is plenty of space for this many people.

Mahalo Joe for your fantastic place and excellent service. We hope to stay again one day!

Cheers, Cathy (Australia)

Hale Pa' ani

What a perfect vacation home! Wide open space, great outdoor space, clean and well appointed with all the comforts of home. The four bicycles were a great addition. A couple needed some maintence but the area has an awesome bike path we rode to Sharks Cove. Loved everything about this home away from home.

Even better than the pictures!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a week at Hale Pa'Ani, and we had a wonderful time. The house is gorgeous, comfortable and spacious, and it was the perfect home base for our North Shore vacation. You always wonder whether a VRBO will live up to the photos you see online, and Hale Pa'Ani absolutely did - in fact, it may actually be better!

Kitchen was well stocked, so we went shopping and ate breakfast and lunch on the lanai every day. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable (master bedroom and bathroom felt very luxurious). Living room opened wide to the lanai, so we had fresh air all day, every day. We were steps from the beach, so we spent plenty of time there, and the outdoor shower made it easy to come and go without tracking sand everywhere.

Location was very convenient for our needs - 15 minutes from Haleiwa, 5-10 minutes from Turtle Bay, an hour from Honolulu, just over an hour from Kailua, etc. We spent most of our time right around Sunset Beach, but it was very convenient when we did leave.

Joe was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the process, always available if we had questions. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches (coffee! snacks!). Just a real pleasure, across the board, and definitely our first choice the next time we head back to the north shore. Can't recommend enough.

Perfect North Shore rental

  • 5 of 5

Just back from an amazing week at Hale Pa'Ani. Perfect accommodations for 3 adults (and room for more). We made great use of the well-appointed kitchen, but the best feature is the lanai where we ate all our meals (and enjoyed happy hour!). Located on Sunset Point, beach access is just steps away, and all other North Shore fun is nearby (including Shark's Cove, Waimea Bay, Turtle Bay). I'd definitely return for my next NS getaway!

Great home is a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a great holiday which included four nights in Hale Pa'Ani. This house was winner with our family which included three young adults. A stunning spacious house with the best en-suite shower. The full kitchen was a bit wasted with fish tacos and Ted's Bakery just down the road. The surf was too big to attempt but it was nice to listen to it crashing in at night from the nearby beach. Joe was really helpful when we had a few questions. Mahalo, we hope to be back.

I have stayed in NUMEROUS Home Away rentals over the past 15 years and this one has earned a spot in my TOP 3! The location is absolutely perfect - a 1 minute walk to the beach and a bike ride from Ted's Bakery and Shark's Cove. The layout of the home is ideal with a large family room/kitchen combo and slide-away doors which open up to the lanai (where we spent every night playing games and eating Haupia Pie from Ted's). The house is private, quiet with an interior that feels "Hawaiian with a Dash of Modern" - you get all the warmth and modern amenities without the weathered, tired look of many of the rentals on the North Shore. And best of all - you're dealing with an owner who truly captures the Aloha spirit which is why my entire family refers to him as "Aloha Joe."
