About this property

The Perfect In Town Home Away from Home

On a beautiful block in the heart of historic Durango, this completely renovated house has everything you will want for a longer stay. A three month stay would also be welcome. The house is within blocks of great restaurants and shops. A favorite activity is to walk the river trail or for the ambitious, to climb the steps to the college! Purgatory ski resort and the majestic San Juan mountains are 40 minutes away. The front yard is fenced in and provides much privacy. When entering, the open floor plan allows for comfortable modern living. The 2 sofas face the gas fireplace and TV. There is a small corner nook that can be used as an office. The 2 bedrooms with king beds have ensuite bathrooms with oversized showers. The master bedroom has a walk in closet. The open kitchen has everything you may need to cook your gourmet meals. Past the kitchen is a mud room with full sized washer and dryer, leading to the fenced in back yard with a large gas grill. Downstairs, below grade, is a lovely, inviting wine cellar - which stays cool at all times, guaranteeing your wines stay at perfect temperature! For anyone who wants to live and spend time in a home, this is the one for you. Since it is a rather small house, we recommend it mainly for couples. It is not ideal for children.

We enjoy living right in town. Our neighborhood is lovely and quiet, and yet we are within blocks of all the downtown activities.

What makes this property unique

This house was completely gutted and remodeled 7 years ago. We kept the outside cottage charm, but made the interior into a contemporary house with all the amenities for today's lifestyle
