Great property and amazing location

We stayed here previously and will likely stay again! The property was well appointed and very clean. Tons of space for our group of 6 and the amazing location really can't be beat. For a beach vacation this is a wonderful stay and the property manager was kind, quick to respond to messages and we look forward to our next trip here.

Wonderful house with great beach access

The house was large enough to accommodate our family which included 7 adults and 2 children. It was well maintained and vey clean. The house is on the beach with great access. It was like having our own private beach for most of the stay. Cape Charles is a quaint beach town a few minutes drive away with good restaurants and local shops.

Perfect Family Spot!

Our family lives in different states and never is able to see each other together but this year we booked the whole group at this spot and it was amazing! There was plenty of space, everything needed to make everyone happy from the 1 year old to the adults. It was quiet and secluded but still close to a shop for last minute stuff. The beach was ridiculously clean and there was sea life everywhere! Can't wait to book again for next year!

A Beautiful Place to Be

The house is beautiful, and the location exquisite. The weather wasn't great while we were there, but it didn't matter. The sound of the waves provided a relaxing backdrop in addition to the tranquil beach walks we went on. We only saw one other person walking the beach the entire weekend. The hot tub was warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. 10/10 recommend this home!

Thank you for having us in your beautiful home. It was a much needed and watch restorative space. We had difficulty with the fireplace but were able to figure it out. Even after changing the batteries, it wasn't able to light. I think it had something to do with an order of operations laugh out loud. Thank you so much.

A Slice of Paradise

Arriving to this property was a jaw dropping moment, the view is incredible. The house is gorgeous, pristinely clean, and well stocked with everything we needed for a picture perfect weekend away for our family of 15. We enjoyed the private beach, hot tub, and endless amounts of fun this home offers. Watching dolphins swimming by and sunsets were magical. Our whole family agreed this home was up there as one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The owner was very responsive and left a sweet welcome surprise. We can’t wait to return to this gem of a place.

Pictures don't do justice.We had amazing 3 night vacation.House was perfect and sunset serenity was the perfect name for the house.Its right next to the bay and watching sunset is so wonderful experience.It's just amazing.We stayed with 2 dogs and 15 people (adults and kids ) everything is so clean and decor is beautiful.We had everything in the house including games, utensils in the kitchen.Sitting in deck and watching the sunset is so beautiful.we have our own private beach and very calm and peaceful vacation.Owner is really sweet, we wanted to bring extra two dogs and he didn't charge us extra.He communicated through out the trip and we had very wonderful experience.

Vacation home at Cape Henry

This vacation home at Cape Henry is a lovely, well equipped house that easily accommodated our party of 14. Even in late winter, we enjoyed walks along the private beach, games in the yard, foosball in the basement, star gazing on the deck, dips in the hot tub, and family meals around the the table. The kitchen is well equipped with supplies and it stocked cleaners, dishwashing products as well as paper towels. All three bathrooms were completely stocked with bathroom products. The house stocks a large set games, puzzles, books, and coloring supplies. We especially enjoyed the surprise welcome gift from the owner, who was kind and helpful during the reservation process, easy to reach by phone, and made our stay very pleasant indeed.

It’s an amazing property! Very secluded and peaceful. It was nice to be in the hot tub and still be able to see the kids on the beach. The kids found whole sand dollars, lots of shells and saw many crabs and dolphins. There were 12 of us and there was plenty of beds for everyone. There’s a lot of stairs/levels so just be aware if you have someone with mobility issues. The house was stocked with everything! It was so nice. Plenty of pots/pans, dishes, spices, paper products, beach towels. In order to get to the property you have to take the underground tunnel. Just a warning that the toll for that tunnel is very pricey. 16-21! There is a grocery store pretty close and also a dollar store and restaurants (you can get to all of these without using the tunnel). We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely go back!

Why they chose this property

The views from the upper or lower deck looking out to the Chesapeake Bay are incredible, especially at sunset. The dolphins swimming by and jumping up are a pure joy to watch. There are many types of bird life including eagles which nest near by.

What makes this property unique

The house is the last property before you hit the bay. It offers privacy that you can't get up on the road. There is plenty of room for parking. Also a lawn area for outdoor games. A nice space for your dogs.
