Snowy Forest Fun
We very much enjoyed our secluded stay at Gene's cabin in the woods. It was close enough to civilization for food and drink and far enough away to see a clear dark sky filled with stars every night.
When we weren't skiing at nearby Okemo, we were sledding at the cabin on the surrounding hills on Gene's sleds. The kids (a 10 and an 11 year old) particularly liked the loft and when indoors, spent most of their times upstairs playing.
The cabin was clean and cozy and as warm as you could possibly want. We enjoyed the wood burning stove as much as we could.
Also, the in-tact vintage Lincoln Log set brought me back to my childhood. Great memories!
When I was a kid, I too had great fun playing with Lincoln Logs too. I built my first cabin then ... and it's charm never left me. So when I had the chance as an adult, I decided to build a real one, and I don't regret it. But I wanted to share the experience with others, so that's why I decided to make it available for a fair price.
The coziness of the cabin itself, the four seasons of nature and the beauty of the foothills of the Green Mountains of Vermont, what's more to ask for? I'm glad you and the kids enjoyed your visit. I always do too! Best, Gene - the Jellybean
Awesome time at a great place!
Place was perfect for me and my three kids. Had a couple questions and Gene was super responsive and helpful! Great spot between several great ski areas. House was ideal to get away for a ski weekend and cook all your meals there. On my list to go back and would recommend completely! Thanks again Gene!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. It's a wonderful little hideaway that I enjoy too. Com'on back whenever you can! Best, Gene, the Jellybean. ⛷😜⛄️😀🏂
The little cozy Log Cabin
This place was everything and more. We were initially looking for the real log cabin experience for my wife and our little daughter, and this home did not disappoint us. Everything was very easy, and the owner (Gene) is a great guy, who made sure we had everything we needed. Fantastic service, great communication. The home is just a couple of miles from town, but distant enough to be quiet, cozy, peaceful. You will love it.
I'm happy you folks enjoyed my little cabin, as I always do too! It gives me pleasure to share the wonderful experience with others who appreciate the rustic, yet modern accoutrements in an enchanting, Southern Vermont landscape. Different seasons and weather conditions, like snow, rain or sun, all make for pleasuarable viewing from the front porch too. Glad you came ... and please come back again!

Quaint little cabin, basic needs for a peaceful family retreat
Our family of four enjoys the area and we’re glad we found this little gem. We love to ski together so we drive north for better skiing and mountains. This cabin is convenient to a lot of opportunities to ski and dine. We’d recommend this place to any small group wanting a cozy cabin to enjoy.
Thanks for your shining review of my little gem in ski country! Winter fun and summer joy makes it ideally situated for getaway relaxing with family or friends. Glad you enjoyed yourselves ... and please come back again!

Lovely log cabin. Wood stove warmed fully up very comfortable to stay. And a lot of funny items in the cabin. So interested. Any way I love it.
I told you so (LOL)! Guess maybe you met Bucky, the deer & Billy Bass. Yes, they do love to sing in the cabin. Or maybe you tried talking to the turkeys or playing the acordian, ukulele, harmonica, banjo or guitar to showcase your talent. Whatever, ... glad you loved the cabin, as I do too!

Wonderful family getaway
Our family of four loved the cabin for our President's Day weekend snowboarding trip to Okemo. The warm wood stove fireplace made everything so cozy and homey. Our kids loved the loft, which they claimed as their own hangout after a long day on the slopes. The flat screen TVs and high speed Wi-Fi kept everyone occupied and entertained. The kitchen was great too! We made breakfast and dinner everyday, so we didn't have to worry about finding food after a tiring day.
Gene was very considerate. He met us at the cabin when we arrived. Gave us the tour and showed us how everything worked. He even had the fire going to welcome us.
Wonderful cabin and terrific owner. Our children did not want to leave. We look forward to staying at the log cabin again soon.
Appreciate your review ... and look forward to having you back again, both summer & winter! Happy to hear the kids enjoyed it too, as I thought they would. Nothing like a real log cabin. Apres ski with a warm hearth and loving family is what I like best. Glad you enjoyed yourselves and had fun.
