This is one of the best vacation spots in the area. It's lovely 4 bedroom/3 bath Duplex on 3rd St. The sleeping arrangement include 3 King,, , 2 twins plus sleeper sofa. The living room is spacious.
There is a private pool on both sides of the duplex. Enjoying fishing on the large 50 foot dock. The ocean is just seconds away by boat There is a private pool,central air,dishwasher, WiFi. All bedrooms include flat screen TVs. With the property comes 4 bicycles for each side and a Intra-connecting doors combines both sides of the duplex. Both sides can be rented for a total of 8 bedrooms and 2 pools. Perfect for large groups or family reunions!! If this unit is booked try #191116

Nice spacious kitchen and lots of storage. It lacked on being clean though. The outside area was amazing and that's where we spent most of our time. At least a couple of bedrooms had burnt out lightbulbs. Would we stay there again? Definitely!!!

Great family stay

amazing location for large family groups, bring your own boat, launch from the property's own boat ramp or rent a boat when you get there and tie it up right at the property. Great neighborhood with restaurants and shopping close by.

Nice Location for Boating

Location is great for boating, view of channel from dock and pool were great. If looking for beach you have to drive to Sombrero Beach (15 minutes) or Bahia Honda State Park(30 Minutes). When booked had access to Cabana Beach club but canceled at beginning of year. House is very dated needs some upgrades and a deep cleaning.

Excellent Island Escape

Place was spacious & beautiful! Only difficulty we experienced was the master bedroom’s portable AC unit needed filter cleaned, it was a little stuffy in the bed and bathroom but once we cleaned the filter, it improved. The rest of the house was cool & comfortable the entire week and we had a wonderful time! George stopped by a couple times and was quick to assist with our needs. We will be back. Thank you!

If you care about Cleanliness, Don’t stay here!!

The location is great!! The floor plan and amenities are perfect for a large family! This was our 2nd stay at this place and both times we dealt with filth through out the home. Cabinets and drawers are discusting, master shower has mold and wet behind the tile which is evident by the water damage at the cabinet. I did send a list of issues to the property manager and was ignored…

Fun get together but maintenance needed

Positive: the location was excellent, beautiful area on the canal, wonderful backyard area to enjoy, clean pool, nice shade. The kitchen dining room and living room were roomy and easily housed our nine people. The bedrooms were good sized and the beds were fine. The bathrooms, kitchen and floor were very clean.Negative: the place needed a lot of maintenance. The light in one of the bedrooms didn’t work at all and we had to use the closet light to be able to see. Almost every other light in the place was missing at least one lightbulb. The washing machine on button was jammed into the machine so we had to Jerry, rig it in order to use the machine. The mid-level bathroom smelled like a septic tank. There was a gurgling sound under the shower each time the toilet flushed. The water pressure in many sinks was very low. The garbage disposal did not work. The furnishings need a very good cleaning or replacement of cushions.This house had the potential to be spectacular, but it only was average due to the lack of good maintenance. were fine.

BED BUGS and BUG Infestation!

If you want to stay in a bug infested run down property with swarming Termites, then this is your place. Worst vacation in 40+ years staying in KCB. The house is falling apart and completely infested with Termites and bed bugs. Two of the rooms were uninhabitable to include huge holes in the ceilings! Daily interrupting visits from repair men who fixed nothing. My children were bitten by bed bugs and termites!!! The owner was unwilling to give a refund or fix any of the issues, so I am currently trying to work with VRBO and so far that isn't helping either. I have pictures and videos of everything, DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY! It should also be noted that the listing agent was unhelpful and wiped her hands of any dealings with our problems.

Great place, roomy and all beds were comfortable.except the pullout couch

The unit is great for a large family . Pool was clean and convenient. Two refrigerators and the small bait freezer were more than enough. Downstairs TV needs external speakers to help with the acoustics but we didn't spend much time watching the TV. Manatee stop by for a visit which the kids loved. Only complaint was the overhead light in the kids room and the fan in one of the rooms doesn't work. should have been fixed before our visit but it was otherwise a perfect stay.

Summer fun

The whole trip was better than expected. Being able to hop in the boat and reach many beautiful destinations was a plus. There was so much sea life right under the deck. The whole place was perfectly spacious. The kitchen was very accomodaing for our needs. We cooked all the dinners there. I didn't realize how helpful it was to have 2 pantries and 2 refrigerators. It was also very helpful to have some wonderful renters next door as the boat situation could have been a little tricky to figure out. (that was tide dependent, not the place itself). Great stay great memories. Virginia was extremely responsive which was an added plus. Loved the whole experience.

Snorkeling was so cool!

The location of the property is quiet and thankful our neighbors were a quiet family too, you can hear right through the dining room door every evening at dinner time. When we opened the garage to unload, bait was left in an open bucket w/ plastic trash STINKY!! Flies were all around, so the first thing I did was take that to the outside trashcans. The garage was full of bikes and strollers and an air mattress, which was nice but it could be organized with some of the construction stuff removed. The bait freezer should be thawed, it is gross. Upstairs the room to the right has no ac or vent in the bathroom, it was hot and humid the whole trip unless you left door open which I would have done except the brand new ac unit did not cool that bedroom well, which is why they offer a portable unit that spits water all over the floor and on you while you sleep at night. My daughter fell on the wet tile. George was very attentive, brought us some extra towels to put around the unit. There are units you can purchase that don't spit. The opened outlets should be plated all around the home. Safety hazard. He is a great manager of the home, My guess is the owners wont spend the $ he knows it needs to upgrade and address hazards. So the mold with small children in the showers is just a NO!! take a wire brush or re-grout or whatever you need to do. That is yuck. A shower curtain can be replaced or washed, yes you can wash plastic curtains; the rod was loose & fell on my other daughter and her infant while in the tub, two different times. George brought a new rod. A foul sewer smell coming from the bathroom at top of steps the whole time, there is a plumbing issue. We tried to bleach the smell away. The tile grout is in obvious need of deep cleaning throughout the entire home. especially bathrooms. All cushions in house need replaced or cleaned. We were excited there are 2 frig but disappointed, they need new seals when you close the frig the freezers pop open so we taped them and under the kitchen sink, at least clean it, lay down contact paper or paint it, goes a long way. The kitchen is spacious, lots of storage, could use a more accessories, but we made do. The pool was clean and fun/umbrella for the little ones was great, the dock could use a little upgrade, desperate need of underwater clean up / removal of dangerous metal crap everywhere! Low tide no bueno for our boat bottom. Disclosure- I am retired property manager.

Key Colony

A very nice and spacious place to relax after exploring the Keys. Thought we would spend more time at the private beach but found more secluded spots at the public beaches. This was a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the sunset, a few of us were even able to see dolphins in the canal.

Key Colony Beach

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is wonderful with the water right behind the house and beautiful sunset views. I would just like to recommend that the owners of this property update a few things. There are 2 refrigerator/freezers and the one on the left seemed to struggle to get cold. We definitely needed all of that space in both refrigerators with 10 people in the house. I would recommend replacing the one refrigerator. Also we cooked a few meals at the house and the burners on the stovetop do not function properly. They cook unevenly and burn food in some spots. One of the burners didn’t seem to work at all. That was frustrating when trying to prepare a meal. My last complaint was that our Internet was not working for the last few days of our stay. We had some school-age children with us that needed to complete assignments and that was not possible because the Internet was not working and I do feel it would have been appropriate to refund some of our money due to the lack of Internet and TV. Overall we really did enjoy our stay and some attention to these problems would improve others future stays at this property.

Best location for Everything!

AMAZING Location and beautiful home! We rented both sides to celebrate birthdays, families and our wedding! This home was large enough for all to sleep comfortably and get away for some privacy if needed! The outside area was perfect! We fished right there and caught many including some shark! What an experience! As my Mama would’ve said memories to last a lifetime” were made here. Thanks for providing such an awesome home! We will return!!
