We are a family of five from Marblehead, Ma. We love the outdoors all year-round and spend our winter weekends skiing and snowshoeing, and the summer weekends boating and fishing.
Stephanie Scola purchased this house in 2004
We have been coming to the Jackson area for over 20 years. Jackson is a quaint New England village but close to everything you would ever want during a vacation. Whether it is mountain climbing or shopping, it is all only a few minutes away.
We knew right away that this was the house for us. It is nestled in the trees with no neighbors in sight and has beautiful views of Mt. Washington and the surrounding mountains.
We have rented many homes in New England. This home is certainly one of our favorites! Loved the decor - contemporary, yet rustic at the same time. Plenty of linens provided. Big fluffy towels vs the linen service towels some owners provide. Personally enjoyed having TV in lower level leaving the upper level for viewing Mt Washington and the beautiful foliage out of the huge window in the living room. On clear nights we could view the Big Dipper from the back deck. Seemed to appear every night centered in the dark sky as if on cue.
The location is fantastic, close to restaurants (5- 10 min) love the Wildcat Tavern for dinner and J-Town Deli - great sandwiches, Kringles has very good pizza.... Pinkham Notch (15 min) for hiking and if you're so inclined, shopping and more dining options in Conway 15 - 20 minutes away.
We had a few questions and Stephanie got back to us right away. Hope to return next year!
We loved our stay at the Scola's home in Jackson, NH. Our son was home on leave from the USCG and we took both our grown children and three of their friends. With 7 adults in the house it was spacious with room to spare. This home has beautiful views and was pristine inside and out. Everything you could want was available in this home especially loads of games as well as a outdoor fire pit. The house is located in a very private setting so even with all the "kids" making noise it disturbed no one. The proximity to the beautiful little town of Jackson is within a 5 minute ride as well as many hiking trails. We will definitely be renting this home in the future when we are able to make the trip to Jackson again. Again many thanks for the use of your beautiful home!!!! The Grooms Family
Just lovely location with everything you could need! We stayed with 2 children and grandparents and there was still plenty of space. The kids loved having their own space with games downstairs. We got to see 2 beautiful deer in the back yard and a moose about 5 minutes north. We would definitely stay again if we are going to be in NH.
I think we had the best experience ever! we have been to many houses before but we were not completely satisfied with their locations nor their view. The place is so comfy and cozy and it has got all what a family needs! one of the things that children loved was having all the different games including Xbox, which was fun! The deck is huge and has a spectacular view towards the mountains. The owner was very kind and sweet and has responded to all our questions. We will defiantly going to come back sometime!
We were attending a family wedding, and opted to stay here rather than a hotel, and we are so glad we did. The spaces are comfortable and great for group interaction, but there is also ample room to have some space to chill and have some solo time. It is a very well appointed rental. The kitchen works well for preparing full course meals, and the fridge has lots of space for everybody's favorite snacks and beverages. In addition, all the comforts of home were there- from towels and linens to games and binoculars.
One of the highlights was hanging out on the deck and seeing Mt. Washington during the day, and the brilliant stars at night. Thanks Stephanie!
A beautifully decorated and comfortable home with lots of natural light. Clean and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was attentive to our questions and requests. A wondetful property.
In the heart of the White Mountains, this home offers convenient access to beautiful hiking trails, rivers and fun swim holes, more than five golf courses in the area including the Jackson Public course 1/2 mile from the house , outlet shopping in North Conway, Story Land, great restaurants, and more.
