Perfect for what we needed

Overall this was a great property. It was well maintained, clean, well stocked, and had clear instructions for everything. Only thing is I wish they would have been up front about how far the lake actually is right now with the water levels being low. We booked this property based on it being waterfront, however it is actually .37 mile walk to the lake.

Great quiet space

We enjoyed our visit. Sadly, the lake is so very low, so we did not get to enjoy much of that. The house was tucked back and quiet and was what we needed to get away and unwind for a couple of days.

Great getaway with lake access

We spent three nights here just after Christmas and really enjoyed the location, the walks to the shore, the deer roaming around (some coyotes at night). Very nice place for some relaxation and midway between LBJ and San Antonio, both of which we visited. Tue nearby Italian restaurant was a nice find and treat. Well run property. Thanks

Quaint House with Lake Access

The property was fantastic. It had a great living space with plenty of room for the family. It is on a cul de sac so very safe for children if they want to ride their bikes outside. The neighbors were also very friendly and helped with local information. The one problem we had (which can't be controlled) is the lake level. We travelled 4 hours with our boat and all the near by ramps were closed. We had to travel about 15/20 minutes to the nearest ramp and there were so many people trying to utilize the ramp that it took over 2 hours of waiting.

Beautiful home on Canyon Lake. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of 5. Many different activities to choose from without even having to drive anywhere. Swimming, fishing , kayaking, ping pong- this place had it all.

Great stay on the lake!

Overall experience was pleasant. The house sits pretty far back from the lake so be prepared for a lot of walking back and forth. We didn’t go down to the water as much as we thought we would because of this. Sitting on the back porch was great, the corn to feed the deer was a nice touch. LOTS of deer. The overall cleanliness of the house was good when we first arrived, it smelled nice and looked clean. However, we did start noticing pet hair everywhere. My black shirt was covered in this hair after sitting on the couch just a few minutes. You could see it through out the house on the floor. Other than that everything else seemed to be fine. I would have preferred there be a lock on the inside of the door for locking at night but it’s only the main lock with a code. It was a pretty quiet neighborhood other than the construction going on down the street, could definitely hear it in the mornings. I wouldn’t mind staying here again, minus the pet hair.

Overall a great stay

Accomodation was well equipped with everything needed for cooking/grilling and having a great time together as a family with games, books, wifi and more. The deer outside the cabin everyday was the highlight of our kids trip. The beach area was further than we realized and a trek to get there with 5 kids in tow, especially with one on crutches, but it was not miscommunicated, we just thought our cabin sloped down to the water and it takes some maneuvering to get there. The cabin cleanliness was decent but could probably do with a deep clean of windows etc. Overall though a great stay and we would come back.

Summer Vacation

This property is a hidden gem! We came to this region to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful lake, and this property did not disappoint. For a family of 4, the home was comfortable with room to relax and let our kids play. The walk out deck provided beautiful lake views and lots of deer feeding/watching. We replenished the corn for the future guests to enjoy the little deer family like we did! The ground floor patio under the deck was a good shaded spot to eat, relax, and recharge with a nice breeze. Loads of outdoor games and water floats were a big bonus! Would have loved to use the fire pit, but there was a burn ban in effect so no open flames. The tree swing and chairs overlooking the lake was a nice spot in the evening as the sun set. But the best part was walking straight from the house, right to the lake edge for an easy swim/float in the beautiful blue water of Canyon Lake. Very quiet and calm area to swim and hang out in. We even paddled out to the boat ramp (maybe 100 yards) and explored the rocky ledge for cliff jumping and more swimming almost daily. We were very surprised with how quiet the area stayed, even in these peak summer weeks (didn’t notice many people going to the park or boat ramp). We did bring our boat and launched it at the park boat ramp ($20 fee for the day). It was fun to explore the lake, swim, and fish from the boat, but you are still able to do all of that right from the property. We would definitely stay here again! Perfect relaxing property with private lake access and in close proximity to many things to do in the hill country! Thank you again for sharing your home!
