This cozy 1890 home is about a 4 minute walk to Tomahawk Lake Park and an 8 minute stroll to the heart of downtown Black Mountain. We offer a variety of toiletries and personal items plus a delightful coffee and tea bar. The enclosed porch off the back provides a beautiful view of nature and the surrounding mountains. The home is family & dog friendly. We offer extra amenities such as a booster seat, pack n play, toys/books, outlet covers, dog bowls with an absorbent mat and waste bags. Guests can unwind in the pleasant living space or enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the area. Experience what Black Mountain has to offer with a stay at our home.

If using the air conditioner please turn off the bedrooms and increase the living room to 78°. If using the heat please adjust it to 60° before leaving the home.

Trash cannot be thrown into the outside can loosely and recycling must be placed in the outside can unbagged or the town will not pick it up. See the refuse instructions on the board in the kitchen.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pets are not permitted on the furniture (Beds, Couches, etc.) you will be charged an extra cleaning fee or to replace damaged furniture.

Love this place! Cozy home with all the essentials. It had so many unique pieces that made the house feel like stepping back in time. Brass features, large tub sink, old style stove, beautiful wood floors. But it had many great new additions, good heating, secure locks, TVs and lots of outlets. The host was so nice and prompt with messages. We loved our stay and it was close to lake tomahawk and downtown.

I'm a Stay at Home Mom of two little ones from Florida with a love of travel. Some of my most cherished memories as a child are hiking with my parents and being in the mountains. It's an honor to be able host others in an area where they can explore the wonders of Asheville and the surrounding mountains. There are numerous breweries, restaurants, hiking trails and other attractions like The Biltmore.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I have been traveling to the Asheville area for over a decade. We fell in love with the picturesque town of Black Mountain and hoped to some day put down roots. The home is within walking distance to both the lake and downtown.

What makes this property unique

The original part of the home was built in 1890, 3 years before the town was founded. The other half was added post Worl War II.
