Condo is just like home. Very well organized condo and building. Building neighbors are great, Carl Smith Lagoon is perfect swimming pool for laps, Richardson for snorkeling. Owners snorkel gear is a bit lacking, mostly kid stuff. Condo super is Mr Friendly and helpful. We think New Chiang Mai Thai on Kalakaua St up in town is the best.

Great location and beautiful condo decor. Picturesque lagoons for swimming and a box of swim/snorkeling things to use. Easy check in. Lots of towels including beach towels. The double twin room was quite noisy at night with the street traffic, but too hot with the windows closed. Recommend earplugs.

Marvelous house

What a wonderful house. Perfect for two families with ample space. Veranda for cosy nights and 8 minutes walk to the beach. We will rent again for sure.

Perfect family beach house

The house is perfect for a medium sized family at Dewey beach and the location is close to the beach. The house was very clean and well maintained. Allan was a pleasure to work with and check in/out were seamless. Woupd be happy to return anytime and stay again!

Great Vacation

We were a 3 generation family of 7. The layout of the house was perfect for us. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well stocked for eating-in. Allan had sent us information about the house and places to eat and visit which was very helpful.

Very comfortable house and great location

2 families with kids ranging from 5 to 15yo. Very comfortable accommodations, close walk to be beach and well stock with all necessities. We were able to cook some days, drive and walk to fun activities and even enjoyed staying in when one of the kids got a 24h fever bug. There were puzzles and games to keep us busy and entertainment options for everyone. Highly recommend it

House was exactly as listed. Location is quiet yet close to everything. Plenty of room for large families. Back porch is great. Outdoor shower is amazing. Owner was very responsive to communication with any questions or concerns.

Great beach house

This is a wonderful beach house with good size rooms, plenty of storage, a nice shady back yard, easy walk to the ocean and well stocked kitchen. There is a “twin bed dorm” which is perfect for the kids/ grandkids. The beds in this room are tired but I’m told will be replaced for next season. W had a great time here and will look to return next season!

Comfy cozy

We really felt at home at Ann Acres—plenty of room for my family of ten to veg out in the living room or on the screened porch. We cooked out on the grill and watched the grandkids kick the soccer ball in the backyard. The house was clean and everything we needed was at our fingertips. The host was super responsive and helpful. We are definitely considering coming back next year!

A lovely place for a relaxing stay!

We stayed for a week in August with 5 adults and 2 kids. The house was just the right size for us. The kitchen has everything you could imagine, and there is a grill on the porch. The beach is a short walk away (you do have to cross a couple of big roads). We went to the beach almost every day, and took a few side trips to Funland and the Outlets. Overall, it was a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Allan emailed out some great instructions ahead of time, and everything was just as expected. Would definitely recommend!

Great family beach house

Large enough for two families. Plenty of room for the kids to play in the back yard. Back porch was large with plenty of furniture. The night lights were beautiful and the ceiling fans kept it cool. Loved the outdoor private shower for rinsing the beach sand off before entering the house. Loved the vintage charm mixed with some modern upgrades, specifically the bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen. Nicely decorated throughout the house with comfortable/attractive furniture. Great access to Dewey Beach, just a short 2 1/2 block walk. Would highly recommend renting.

Nice house in quiet area close to Dewey Beach

Holly Bush Cottage is a very comfortable and well equipped house. It seemed that almost anything we needed was there at the house and available. The hosts go out of their way to stock and supply the home. The newly renovated kitchen and baths are really wonderful, and the screened porch is lovely. It's a short walk across two intersections to the beach but bring your own beach wagon if you're carrying more than just a towel! We enjoyed the farm market at the end of the street to pick up a few items. Walking to and from Dewey is easy and quick. We would definitely recommend it!

Great vacation!

Our family had such a great vacation week at Holly Bush Cottage! The cottage is charming and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and just have fun. It's an easy walk to the beach, to the restaurants and stores in Dewey, and it's even easy to walk down to Rehobeth. We spent a lot of time on the back porch! There was plenty of room for everyone (7 of us) to spread out, the bathrooms are nicely renovated, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! A big thank you to Allan for being so helpful and accommodating. We love your place and can definitely see why your family loves it so much. We would definitely rent Holly Bush again if we get the chance. It's a wonderful place! Thanks again.

Good location

The house has a well equipped kitchen and lots of nice touches. It’s located a few blocks from the beach, about a 10 minute walk. I was told I needed to bring sheets and was given the bed sizes, which we brought with us. I was disappointed that I needed to go and purchase bath towels, toilet paper, hand soap and dish soap. I would have thought they would have been provided, even hotels include this. There are a ton of stores within a 15-20 minute drive. Overall, it was a great week- the weather was fabulous!

Appreciated having access directly to Carlsmith Beachpark from the property, especially on days when public parking spaces were hard to find. The lagoon at that end is sandy and well protected, with steps that make for easy entry to the water. Nice views of the park and bay from the balcony.

The property description couldn’t be more accurate and my family and I couldn’t be any happier with our stay! The condo is in close proximity to Carlsmith Beach Park and others, which made it perfect for early swims, snorkeling, and watching the sunrise. The view alone is worth it — sea turtles right below the lanai most mornings! The location was quiet but close to everything in Hilo. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the week. Couldn’t have asked for a better home base on the east side of the island — we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was my second time renting in this condo. As always, it was clean, well equipped and relaxing. Bed in master bedroom was very comfortable. Made friends with two Geckos on the balcony who were always watching me.

Great place in Hilo

Lee's apartment was a lovely base for our Hilo vacation. The building itself is from the 70s, but the entire apartment has been recently renovated. It's a very chill building, and the only noises we heard were the ocean and nature. My kids enjoyed the pool, it was a perfect temperature for us (not too cold and not too hot). Having a private gate to Carlsmith Beach/Lagoon was so nice. We literally just went downstairs, through the gate, and were at the lagoon. I loved having my breakfast on the lanai overlooking the lagoon and the ocean - because it's on the top floor there are trees below blocking the view of the people down at the pool and the beach park, so it was really private. Lee was great with communication as well. Highly recommend!!

A great few days!

The property was very nice - exactly as expected. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The lagoon was absolutely amazing and we saw so much sea life, including LOTS of turtles. Communication was great and everyone we met on property was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone!

As longtime short term rental hosts in the Bay Area we decided to create a space of our own in Hilo. We as traveler's always enjoy vacation rentals that are clean, comfy and affordable . We hope that our Hilo condo will be that place for you when you visit !

The Hilo side of the island is the wet side , which means it’s tropical and lush. The access to the bay ocean is so easy and safe . Carl Smith park is literally right out our back door. An amazing spot for protected swimming ( there is a lifeguard), barbecuing, exploring the lagoons , floating We are close to downtown Hilo with access to restaurants, shopping and cultural events.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

It is on the top floor of our building which provides for privacy , vaulted ceilings and a view that is expansive and tropical. It so easy to wile a way the hours just relaxing and enjoying the view.
