The fully-equipped Heckman House boasts five bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping 10-14, including close and extended family and friends. The dining table extends with an extra leaf to accommodate more guests! On your way up from the beach, enjoy a private enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower amid the sounds of seagulls and roaring surf. This house is in a great location on the beach as it is fairly secluded and not crowded. Deck is great for watching waves roll in and supervising older children on beach. The house is on the older side but if walls could talk I’m sure it would tell many family memories at the beach!

The location is great! The beach access is fantastic and there are plenty of items on hand to use. The second garage fridge was awesome to have! The owners are easily accessible, although we didn’t need to contact them. Highly recommend!

Family Reunion

It’s was an amazing place! Our family is spread out across the nation and because of the pandemic we have all not been together in several years! We had plenty of space for all of us. It was easy to access restaurants and grocery stores and it was wonderful to be on the beach!

Our family has created many happy memories here on the most beautiful beach in the country. This very special home has been the perfect place to celebrate retirement, new babies, family reunions, Easter, Thanksgiving and even a Spring wedding. We still vacation as an extended family every year. As the family grows, we fill every inch of this home with laughs and good times.
The home was designed for private spaces. You can get away from the activity and enjoy a spot on your own, be it on the hammock, or just in your quiet bedroom.

Why they chose this property

Friends,
My Dad was a beach person and when summer vacation time rolled around, he wanted to go to the beach. Mom was fair skinned and sometimes overruled him, but when they retired in 1980, Dad won the day. They built and retired to the house in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. Dad only had a few years in his dream home and when he passed, Mom, Suddenly alone, moved back to Pittsburgh and her old friends. Since then The HECKMAN HOUSE has been "the beach house" for the Heckman's and hundreds of others, too, guests who come for a week or two and then come back again. These people often act like they own the place and we love that , and understand it.

A lot has changed in the past 40+ years at 125--furniture, carpeting, TV's, appliances and wall colors come and go, but the house and it's main attraction the ATLANTIC OCEAN at your door remain the same. There's bright sunshine and freshness in the Spring, long lazy beach days through the Summer, the best weather in the world come Fall and the solace in the Winter, If you've been missing any of that, or just the front porch, please let us know.

Breezy screened porch, ocean front views from living room, dining room, kitchen, master suite and master bath. Wide deck overlooks the beach. Outdoor shower. No fuss simplicity and comfort - suitable for all ages. This beach house is forty five years old and has a midcentury modern design. The furniture and kitchen has been recently updated.
