About this property
Historic Kennebunkport home in the heart of the village. Steps to Dock Square.
Built in 1797, the Aaron Hovey house is completely restored to blend the old in with the new. The house has been placed on the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES by the U. S. DEPARTMENT of the INTERIOR. It features old New England charm with 3 bedrooms and a Garrett where kids can play. It is just steps to the Port's shops and restaurants. The backyard is a great place for cook outs on the provided grill and just a wonderful place for kids to play and adults to sit and enjoy. K'Port is a quaint New England village featuring historic homes, beautiful rocky shores, and large sandy beaches. We provide a free beach parking permit for your family's enjoyment to all of Kennebunk's sandy beaches.

About the host
Hosted by Pete Wahtera

We lived in Kennebunk years ago before getting recruited to a job in Mn. I promised my wife that we would get back here some day. And we did. (Part Time ) We had a condo first for a few years and when saw this 1797 house for sale we jumped at it. It has been a lot of work but we love it. We rented to the Secret Service( BUSH) for years in the summer - 14 years. We made the change to VRBO a few years ago.
Why they chose this property
It is in the Port. It has great History and is very warm and comfortable.
What makes this property unique
We have tried to keep the house as close to the late 1700 as we could. It is in the historic district of Kennebunkport and within walking distanced to most everything.
