About the property

Cozy, 1 Brm, 1 Bath w/Optional 2nd Suite Providing Stunning Ocean Sunset Views!

Cozy, Private 1 Bedroom 1.0 Bath 400 Square Foot Cabin With Optional King Suite(Making it a 2 Bedroom Rental if Needed) with Stunning Caribbean Sunset Views. The Property Owners Live On Site for Anything You Might Need During Your Stay, or Your Privacy Will Be Insured If You Don’t Require Any Assistance During Your Stay. The Cabana and Jungle Suite have free wifi for guest convenience.

The Treehouse Cabana sits next to the owners quarters and includes a private entrance, king size memory foam bed, closet, a fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances, a sitting room, full bath, ceiling and room fans for cooling, wifi, and room safe for valuables. The Cabana also includes the use of a High Efficiency Central AC unit for an optional additional charge, a private deck with deck furniture that provides stunning sunset views over the Caribbean. The 2nd additional bedroom/suite with its own separate entrance under the house is equipped with a King size memory foam bed, full bath, AC unit, ceiling and room fans, room safe, wifi, a small dorm style refrigerator, closet, a deck with jungle view and plenty of privacy. Use of the 2nd bedroom/suite will be charged (only if needed) at a rate of an additional $15 per day NO AC and $25 per day with AC above the rate quoted on the page and will be settled upon arrival or via paypal prior to arrival if the unit is needed. This set up allows one, or two people to get the lowest possible rate if they only need 1 bedroom. It then also gives 2 couples, or parents with adult children the opportunity to rent the cabana and suite together and provide privacy in their sleeping arrangements, as well as when they choose to come and go at a small additional nightly fee. The cabana and suite feature 2 covered deck area's that allow for both ocean and jungle views. The cabana rental electricity is provided free up to the normal unit usage and is then charged for additional usage at the local utility rate. The Cabana has its own separate meter from the owner’s unit so if you choose to use the AC during your stay you will only be charged for your actual usage above what is granted for normal cabana usage to run everything other than the AC. This way we are able to keep our rental rates at the lowest possible amount and only charge our guests for the convenience of using whatever amount of AC they want if they choose to do so. We will provide the renter with all the appropriate info to access the Cabana prior to their arrival.

About Brian Grandt

My name is Brian and my wife's name is Stacy and we are avid travelers who love to dive/snorkel and this island just blew away every other place we have been in the Caribbean, so we decided to build a retirement home here. We spend most of the year on Roatan and offer a guest Cabana and additional suite for others to enjoy our little piece of paradise. The Cabana is available for weekly, and monthly rentals for all months of the year. Just check our calendar on this page, or contact us about availability for your particular date and we can provide you with additional information, pictures, and booking information.

Brian Grandt purchased this bungalow in 2006

Why Brian Grandt chose West Bay

We choose this property location due to it's outstanding location between the two most popular area's on the island, West Bay Beach, and West End town. It allows us and our visitor's to take advantage of both of these locations while allowing for a quiet respite when we decide to relax and sleep. The sunset, and canopy views are truly second to none along with a large variety of birds, and wildlife. It is truly paradise!

What makes this bungalow unique

The thing that really made us fall in love with this home was sitting on the decks and watching the sun set over the beautiful blue water's of the Caribbean. What's not to like about that? This property also provides guests with free wifi for their convenience.

Adventure in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

The owners Brian & Stacy are awesome! From the time of booking to the very last day, kept us well informed of where and what to do, what businesses had the best service and deals each day. The Treehouse was well appointed with all the comforts of home. We added on the additional cabana (jungle room) which was very efficient and both cabanas were cool at night (no need for AC). We learned scuba, went snorkeling every day, zip lined, visited area botanical gardens, sloth, monkey and bird sanctuaries were some of our top contenders. The Treehouse was a beautiful walk away from the beach, water taxis were fun and easy to get to many parts of the island, and the taxis were easy to obtain if needed by road. Brian & Stacy provided us with a programmed phone to use on the island, so calling a taxi was easy, and they both were available to reach as well. They offered us many amenities not listed on the rental site and the personal touches will keep us coming back to stay in Roatan again and again!

Great location! Clean, modern accommodation. Friendly and thoughtful hosts.

  • 4 of 5

The TreeHouse Cabana is situated between West Bay, an incredibly gorgeous beach, and West End, a funky little town, both walking distance. The suite has a huge comfy bedroom, all necessary appliances and a great deck to view the sunsets and the macaws.

Brian and Stacy are great hosts, full of ideas, suggestions and occasional treats. They know the island well and help out with transportation plans and activity suggestions. It is easy to get around the island with public transportation, but be prepared for some hot hikes uphill if you are traveling on foot.

Thanks again Brian and Stacy. We had a great trip!

A Piece of Paradise Rented by Exceptional Owners!!

  • 5 of 5

If I could give the Treehouse Cabana and the owners (Brian and Stacey) 10 stars, I would! My partner and our friends had an amazing time enjoying this piece of Paradise for an entire week. Brian and Stacey go above and beyond to make sure your stay is safe and comfortable. Since I had never been to Roatan before I had several pre-trip questions about traveling into the country and what we would need while there. Brian and Stacey were always happy to answer me in a timely manner and also provided me with additional information (about the best taxi driver on the island, Omar, and important local contact information we may have needed). The rental price was very affordable and the privacy along with the gorgeous views from our balcony were perfect for our much needed get-away! There is no better place on Roatan for your island vacation than the Treehouse Cabana!

Comfortable and Private

  • 4 of 5

The house was beautiful and well-equipped with the necessities such as sheets, towels and dishes. It was a short distance to West Bay and the road was close to hail a cab albeit a little steep. The only thing I would improve would be to include Wi-Fi service since it was difficult to communicate with our friends on the island (via What's App which makes communication between the US and Honduran phone service possible.) The cell phone provided was helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Just As Excellent On Our Second Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful. Wonderful. Peaceful. Quiet. Private. What else could you want from a vacation rental that you feel like is your home almost immediately? This was our second trip to Roatan and to The Treehouse. Full kitchen. Two Bathrooms. King-Sized bed. Two balconies.(One downstairs which is screened-in for bug protection; one upstairs with a small dining table and two hammocks right off the bedroom.) Very clean! Close to our favorite beach (West Bay) and our favorite places to eat! (Las Rocas & Beachers) Access to a pier to catch water taxis to either West Bay or the West End. Wonderful owners! Fabulous place that to would recommend to any of my friends.

This is my second time to the Treehouse! Hopefully one of many! We had a wonderful time as expected and quite honestly wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's the perfect getaway adventure with the just the right amount of activities and peace & quiet rest. From playing cribbage on the upstairs deck in the morning to watching picture perfect sunsets in the evening this Treehouse has everything one could ask for on a Carribean getaway. Stacy & Brian have everything done just right for you to have a wonderful experience. Thank you!

The Treehouse Cabana is located 500 feet off the beach with western views of sunsets over the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean. There is an endless amount of activities that await you on Roatan that include but are not limited to diving, snorkeling, zip line canopy tours, glass bottom kayaking, fishing charters, horseback riding, mangrove tours, spa's, airplane tours, submarine tours and many other exciting adventures that are awaiting your visit. From our house it is an easy 25-minute walk down the hill and along the beach to West End Town where there are bars, restaurants and groceries. It is also a 15-minute walk down the hill and along the beach to West Bay Beach, which is annually rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world. You could also sit on our beach all day by yourself, or walk out on the pier raise your hand and hale any passing boat like a taxi and they will pick you up and give you a ride to either place. There are many automobile taxi's available on the island as well just make sure you negotiate your fare with them before you get in for your ride. Car and scooter rentals are available at the airport, in West Bay and West End near our house. You will find many reputable and inexpensive restaurants and bars in West End and West Bay as well as street vendors and small shops that serve food depending on how adventurous you are. There is 1 supermarket within a reasonable distance from our house and there are many small grocery stores and deli's to get food, water and supplies for your stay. You may want to ask your cab driver to stop at one of the 2 supermarkets in Plaza Mar on your way to our house from the airport as they drive right past them to get to the house. They will usually do this for a small fee. There are ATM's available in West End, West Bay and Coxen Hole we will have an international cell phone available our guests which works with prepaid Tigo minutes that are widely available throughout the island. You can usually ask the people you buy the card from to input the minutes if your Spanish isn't very good as the directions are in Spanish. The diving in Roatan is excellent. The snorkeling from our beach is good, however the snorkeling from the far end of West Bay Beach is the best we've had anywhere in the Caribbean. The whole coast where the house is located is designated a marine park and is a protected reef which should help keep it that way for years to come. There is also a high speed ferry that goes to and from Roatan that lands in LaCeiba on the if you want to spend a day on the mainland to check out another area of Honduras. LaCeiba has incredible jungle rafting that is second to none in the world. This ferry also makes connections to the other nearby island of Utila. If you decide to take a snorkeling trip, or any of you would like to try scuba diving, we have made arrangements with a local dive shop to take care of our guests while they are there. Tyll's dive shop is located in the heart of West End and only caters to small groups.

Gumbalimba park is adjacent to our property and is very fun for a day. They offer all kinds of activities on land, and in the water. One of the 2 canopy zip lines that are within walking distance from our house is located here. Both zip lines start you out at the top of the mountain and land you on the beach all be it on opposite sides of the island. The other zip line is called South Shore canopy tours and is located at the entrance to our road from the main road. There is a decompression chamber and first aid care at Anthony's Key resort along with a local museum and dolphin adventure program. Good medical and pharmacy services are available, and there is a hospital in Coxen Hole a short drive from the house. We ask, and recommend that everyone who goes to the island visit this website for Clinica Esperanza. If you have time, are willing to look, can take along some items, and can make a donation of any medical supply's when you visit the island it would be greatly appreciated. The web site has a medicine request page for this clinic and they do great work for locals, and tourists who are on the island. Nurse Peggy has dedicated her life to helping all of the people who are on Roatan. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.

We hope this helps and if you decide to go we can help you with all the arrangements!
