Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 8-10 Sleeps

Please read the notes at the end of this description.

This property personifies the word peace and serenity. The cabin is secluded in a wooded lot with 'surround-sound' made by the rushing Chestatee River. The house is made from 'all-natural' materials with all wood walls, floors, and ceilings down to a river-stone fireplace. It's like having the outdoors inside with you. The house has 3 bedrooms which can sleep 8, a sofa bed which sleeps 2, and a blow-up queen size air mattress that can be used anywhere, including in the screened-in porch. Upstairs is surrounded on three sides by decks. Downstairs has a long deck facing the river. The house overlooks the Chestatee River. Down at the river is a screened in porch with fans, a fire pit, tables and chairs. The river is a great place to read, fish, sleep in the hammock, picnic, cook over the campfire or cook on the charcoal grill as you enjoy the peace of the river. The river area is like being in another world where you and your friends or family members will feel like they are the only people in the world. You will enjoy the house but be enchanted by the river and surrounding area.

The driveway down to the river is steep. If you choose to drive down there, be sure to keep your foot on the gas as you drive up the driveway to avoid getting stuck. If you are concerned if your car will make it back up, please just walk down the driveway.

The cabin uses a well for its water supply. Please space out showers and conserve water so the well has a chance to pump more water into the cabin.

Note: There is a $25 charge per person for each person over 6 people.

Note: The cancelation policy that I use is in the rental agreement. My cancellation policy is more lenient than the one shown on the listing.

It was all we were looking for.

If you want a place to relax and enjoy the sound of a mountain stream you will enjoy this cabin. We relaxed on the large screened in porch listening to the mountain stream and the sounds of nature while visiting with family. Another plus - it's only about a 15 minute drive into Dahlonega. We hope to come back to this cabin with our grand children. They will enjoy playing in the stream.

A delightful stay

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is in great condition and well taken care of from the inside to the outside. Blooma is an outstanding photographer and her work is seen all over the house. The rooms are very comfortable and roomy. The river was very fun to play in as well. This is certainly one place you will want to return to.

Beautiful! Room for everyone.

  • 4 of 5

Great property, plenty of room. The driveway was a little scary, didn't attempt to drive to river. I did walk once and thought I would die! I would recommend to friends. I was disappointed in the grill.

Rustic Cabin in the Woods

  • 4 of 5

We loved the layout of the cabin and the windows and deck out to the woods. Seeing and hearing the river was very cool too! The bathrooms were clean and cabin was well equipped. The Owner has great communication with the renter and is very accommodating.
