There are two houses on the property. In June of 2015 we completed a full and total re-build of the carriage house and are back up and running on VRBO. Since retiring in 2014, Clarissa and I are living full time in the house and you may see us from time to time, but the carriage house 'cottage' has been designed to be a get-away that is comfortable, elegant, private, cozy and memory making. It is perfect for families, couples, and or friends just wanting to spend some time together. It is far enough away from civilization to enjoy the water, sky, trees and wildlife, without being entirely out of touch. You are in short driving distance to Cambridge, Easton, St. Michaels, and Salisbury, or Ocean City for lots of day-trip entertainment. For nature lovers, we are near the Blackwater Refuge for kayaks or canoes. For hunters, this is an area sought after by those interested in ducks, geese, deer, turkey and others. For golfers, there is one nearby golf course and plenty of varied and highly-rated local restaurants.
If you’d rather just stay on the property in a quiet, secluded natural arena, you can enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, crabbing (right from the pier), swimming, walking, biking, sitting with your favorite folks, or holding down the hammock with a good book. In cool or rainy weather, there are games, books, internet and TV. The house is designed for entertaining, with a brand new kitchen equipped with plenty of cooking paraphernalia, and the living space is conducive to easy conversation and lots of comfortable seating.
There are two different areas for dining, inside or under the pergola, all in view of the Brooks Creek/Choptank vista. It is perfect for a family to get reacquainted or a romantic getaway. We provide the ambiance, you provide the fun!
Living room with 42' flat screen TV, dining room, bathroom and kitchen, two with queen beds and a third with a full size bed, and a loft with two twin-sized beds. separate 15 x 12 pergola with slate flooring, adirondacks, fireplace and dining seating for four. The pier can handle motorboats, canoes, or rowboats. Four kayaks are available. Linens and paperware provided along with all kitchen equipment and dining ware.

The property is lovely, and so are the hosts. We were all very happy with our stay. Cambridge is an interesting place, and the views from our unit were spectacular. So much to do just being on the property. We all enjoyed our long weekend.
Wonderful stay. Incredibly responsive and friendly hosts. The cleanest short-term rental we have stayed at. Beautiful views. We look forward to a return visit.
Beautiful location with delightful water views. We enjoyed canoeing, making smores at the fire pit, going for walks in the woods and just relaxing.Rob and Clarissa great with getting us oriented to the property and available if anything came up. Our granddaughter loved the playhouse as well as the swing and hammock
Another wonderful stay at this absolute jewel of a place. We had an amazing weekend and our kids loved every minute of it (even though it rained!). The house is perfect for 2 couples with kids. Communication with Rob and Clarissa was super easy, the house was spotless, and we were very comfortable. We’ll be coming up again soon!!
From beginning to end the entire experience was amazing! Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. The house was the perfect size for our 8 ppl and 5 dogs. They had everything we needed to spend time on the water. We hope to make regular return visits!
This was an extension of our original 4-day stay. We had so much wonderful and fun time that we stayed an extra day. The owners Rob and Clarissa were the best host!
The property is lovely and our host was top-notch. Only comment is there is no washer/dryer for clothes, However, our host invited us to use their washer/dryer. Could not speak more highly of this property.
The property and hosts were exactly as advertised and what we were looking for. We absolutely love this area and after connecting with Rob and Clarisa our hope is for many return stays. I've been vacationing on the eastern shore for over 50 years and have always appreciated the hospitality of the people, its very refreshing to still experience this same hospitality. Thanks Rob and Clarisa
This is a beautiful site and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.
We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Lovely views and the owners were very easygoing and helpful! Lots to do and the house had everything we needed.
This was the perfect location and property for our family. I only wished we booked a longer trip! The amenities inside and out, and the friendliness of our hosts made this a great way to relax away from the Beltway and get out on the water. The kids didn’t want to leave
What a wonderful area on the water. The proprietors were such friendly and accommodating people. The apartment was clean and well stocked. They had a wide range of activities on the property. It was wonderful being able to sit near the water and enjoy my friend’s company. I highly recommend this welcoming place.
Beautiful experience. The property was right on the bay with spectacular views and sunsets. The house itself was wonderful. It was comfortable and beautifully appointed with high quality furnishings and antiques. The kitchen had everything needed. AC and overhead fans provided excellent comfort. Kayaks and a canoe were great for cruising on the bay. They also had bikes available (we brought our own). Biking is a pleasure on the rural and flat terrain of the Eastern shore. Lastly (but not least) our hosts, Rob and Clarise were wonderful. Always accessable, helpful and friendly. Kudos all around.l
Property ground was huge with plenty of leisure activities to enjoy such as kayaks, dart board, above ground pool, bikes, swing, etc.The most enjoyable part was the private dock where we enjoyed crabbing and fishing, sunset viewing and just plain relaxing. All rooms were nicely organized with clean sheets, linen, towels and toiletries. The icing on the cake was the kindness and generosity of the owners Rob and Clarissa. They made us feel at home and treated us like family in going far beyond what's expected from any vrbo rental owners we have had in the past. Can't wait for our next summer crabbing experience in this mini paradise!
Lovely coach house - beautifully appointed with many thoughtful touches. Absolutely beautiful views.

About the host
Hosted by Rob Neumer
We bought this Cambridge property as a family getaway from our full-time jobs in Harford County. Our grown children travel here from various Maryland locations with their friends to do loads of relaxing, kayaking, swimming, jet skiing, and many kinds of games and outdoor fun.
Why they chose this property
The main purpose of this beautiful location is for peace and quiet, beautiful vistas, water, trees and sky. It was discovered with the help of locals who knew of its privacy and scenic view.
What makes this property unique
Reading a book under the pergola with a soft breeze blowing in from Brooks Creek, napping in the hammock, or enjoying a fire after sunset with friends makes this a restful, rejuvenating place.
