The house was very comfortable and clean. Had everything you would need in the kitchen. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to our messages. Check in was very easy. The views are incredible. The beach was nice to take walks, very few people around. Sunrises were great. We will be back.

Alicia is a great host. She is thorough and always kept me informed up to my day of travel. She also checked in on our first and last day to make sure we were good. The place is clean and well maintained. Neighbors were also nice and friendly. We had great time crabbing and enjoyed the beautiful view!

Quiet spot on the Chesapeake. Perfect for relaxing by the bay and doing nothing. No significant boat traffic or other distractions to bother you.

The Yowell house is absolutely delightful and so very cozy. The views are spectacular and the mornings on the porch are unforgettable with amazing sunrises and wildlife in and out of the water. This hidden getaway is an escape to a slower pace of life. One governed by nature. With so many interesting and appetizing adventures nearby as well.This house and this area of the world.. The Chesapeake Bay…..Solomon’s Island are among my most favorite places to retreat toRuthann GoffSeptember, 2026

The house has fantastic eastern-facing views of the Chesapeake Bay with stairs to climb down to the sandy beach. It's not crowded and offers a lovely, peaceful, private atmosphere. My 82-year-old mother uses a rollator. There is one set of stairs with sturdy handrails to get into the front door. The house itself is fully accessible for those using a rollator on the first floor with a convenient bedroom and bathroom as soon as you enter. My mom was able to use her rollater all over the main floor and enjoy the beach views from the wide windows and back porch. The kind host had a bath chair put in the shower for my mom. which was just perfect. The house is beautifully decorated with a beach theme and lovely art. The host gave perfect directions on what to bring to make our stay comfortable and lovely. It was so nice not to have to carry towels, sheets, or cooking items! The host was very responsive and helpful. Could not have asked for a lovelier stay and host!

Our family had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The house had everything we needed including spots to just relax and watch the waves inside the house. In the evening when the temps got cooler it was nice to be on the deck and watch the sunset. The kids could not get enough of the easy beach access. We found plenty of shark teeth and fossils! Alicia was so kind and easy to work with. Would love to rent again!

Everything you could need or think of was there. Even some toys for dogs and plenty of games for family night. Some firewood at the property and the allowace to use the fireplace inside and outside at the beach was an exceptional touch!

I have never had a host reach out so much and be so accommodating. Alicia was wonderful!!! The home is absolutely beautiful and so are the sunrises. You will not regret booking this gem! We didn't want to leave!!!

Thanks Mary, I am so glad you left before the snow storm hit. Just in time! I am told we have well over a foot and more is on its way. I hope your flight back home was not cancelled. So glad you loved my home, it’s a magical place. I love the winter months at the Bay House because the white swans come down from Canada and they are so beautiful. You may not have seen them because of the impending storm.

Family stay

We had a great time hiking up the shore of the bay, watching the fireworks, eating smores in the fire pit and going to a nearby vineyard. House had everything we needed for a great holiday weekend.

Excellent stay on Chesapeake Bay

This home has everything you need to enjoy a time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Prior to check-in, Alicia called and gave lots of insight to the area around her home. It is evident that Alicia cares and love this home. Very easy check-in and check-out process as well. The bay view is incredible and the woods next to the house have relaxing trails to enjoy nature up close. The trails are very well maintained. The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular! My daughters, pup (an added bonus being able to bring our dog) and I enjoyed hours hiking and relaxing on property. It was a great way to unwind during a very short spring break. Thank you Alicia for sharing your home. We had a wonderful and relaxing mini vacation.

Well, what a great time we had at this house the house is exactly as advertised, tidy, clean, comfortable, everything close. The view was beautiful, our vacation was amazing. Alicia was very responsive to any question that we had. We definitely would rent again!
