House is furnished and fully-equipped, ready for year round fun for families or small groups. Spacious first floor living room with gas fireplace and dining room; 3 bedrooms and 1 full bath; half bath off the main bedroom. Bedroom/full bath and large room with pool table on the second floor. Clean, new appliances—dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove. Wifi internet and 2 smart TVs for streaming content. Private backyard with deck, outdoor shower, and gas grill. Laundry in basement.
Saturday to Saturday 7-night minimum rental for May through September. Monthly stays for October through April.
No smoking on the premises, inside or outside. No pets.

Perfect space and location

Loved this home and its proximity to Woods Hole. Everyone had plenty of space and the upstairs area was a hit with the kids. Great deck and backyard also. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome home for our family vacation!

All of our children and spouses and one grandchild stayed here and it fit us perfectly! Clean, in a great neighborhood, plenty of room with a beautiful deck. Comfortable beds and all linens supplied. Well stocked kitchen and great grill. I'd definitely stay again!

Great house and location!

We had a great stay in this house in Woods Hole. The house is very nice and well maintained, and the location is wonderful. It’s a quick ride/walk/jog to the Shining Seas Bike Path and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Quissett Beach. And a short drive to other Falmouth locations. Skipper welcomed us when we got there and gave us a tour and was available for the couple of questions we had. We had a great week and hope to rent here again!

Fantastic house for family in a great location

This house was amazing - really spacious with plenty to do. Close enough to walk to woods hole harbour and several beaches. The route to the nearest beach pretty much traffic-free and the bike path was perfect. We enjoyed a trip to martha's vineyard and a look round the aquarium (free) to name just two of the great things available nearby. Didnt meet Skipper, but knew he was around if we needed him.

Our favorite Woods Hole rental

We’ve stayed in three different Woods Hole / Falmouth rentals over the past three years, and this one is the best! The house is great. There is tons of space: four bedrooms that each have a queen bed, 2.5 bathrooms plus an outdoor shower, a large living room, a large dining room, a large upstairs billiard/family room, a big deck that we used multiple times each day. There is an air conditioner (window unit) in each of the four bedrooms plus in the living room — and the A/Cs actually work! The billiard room does not have air conditioning, and was the only room that got too hot on certain days. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots/pans, mixing bowls and measuring cups/spoons, food containers, etc. The dishwasher works great. Most importantly, everything is clean and in great shape. (Expect some ants, but that’s the case in every Woods Hole house we’ve been in.) The location is also great. The house is about a mile from downtown Woods Hole, easily walkable on Woods Hole Road (though there are two blocks without sidewalks), and 0.7 miles to Fay Beach and the Fay Beach entrance to the Shining Sea Bikeway. And the hosts are great! Skipper and Valerie were responsive and checked in to see if we needed anything. Overall, it’s a terrific option — and easily the best value you can find.

Outstanding Rental Property

This vacation rental was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Immediately upon arrival we felt right at home, and the house was even better than the pictures. Skipper and his wife were outstanding and welcoming hosts; both proactively and reactively (although there were very few questions we had our entire stay). Skipper suggested getting a beach parking lot permit, which was awesome. I enthusiastically recommend this vacation rental.

A Great Place

The house and amenities are accurately described. We had a very nice stay and Skipper could not have been more accommodating. He responded immediately and effectively to our every issue and it was clear that he wants his guests to be happy and comfortable during their stay. The window AC units kept the house cool even in the hottest weather and there were lovely breezes through the house when the windows were open. We were able to park our car and bikes in the garage. It is about a 2 mile walk to Woods Hole using a few back streets, and then the bike path, which was very convenient. The cookware was in excellent condition, nice quality linens, a filtered ice maker in the large basement fridge, 3 hair dryers, and multiple power cords and fans. The kitchen counter and cabinet space is limited, but adequate. There were also very nice bottles of liquid soap and body lotion in all the bathrooms, which we greatly appreciated. We only used the outdoor shower which had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Skipper and his wife were wonderful to meet and deal with. Only one note, if you need an iron/board, you should bring one as the house is not equipped….or just take a break from ironing!

The location was nice with a short distance to the center of Woodshole and not far from downtown Falmouth. The owner was kind and responsive. Everything worked out well for us on our vacation!

Spacious rooms with all conveniences of home. Love the quiet neighborhood, greenery, trees, etc. enjoyed spending time on the large shaded deck while barbecuing on the grill. Very well maintained home and well stocked kitchen and bath towels. Enjoyed evenings at nearby Woodneck Beach and at the waterside in nearby Woods Hole. Ferry terminal to islands only approx. 1 mile away.

Delightful and oh-so comfortable house

The house was extremely comfortably furnished with everything advertised, including several bikes and other holiday items. Window units kept the house very comfortable, and all the other appliances (including a second fridge!) worked perfectly. We used the gas grill (the owner also made sure we knew about the extra propane in the garage) and it was great. The house felt very easy and welcoming to live in--we wished we had weeks and week to enjoy it. Very convenient to both Woods Hole and Falmouth--just minutes away. Also super convenient by car to the beach. We didn't attempt to go by bike or walk--the roads were a little daunting for us to attempt! But it's just so close and easy to get to the beach by car. We had wonderful dinners both outside and inside the house. It just felt like home!

Beautiful place!

Very clean, comfortable and cozy house close to Shining Sea bike trail, beach with no lifeguards overlooking Martha's Vineyard, and a village of Woods Hole. Plenty of space including a very large empty garage and a big loft area upstairs with a pool table. The owner was immediately available for all our questions. Backyard was private and shaded, perfect for outdoor dinner on the patio. We had a great time, 6 days was definitely not enough!

Walk/Bike to beach, ferry, shops, cafes

Skipper (Ken) was an attentive host - very responsive by text/phone. The house was immaculate, and spacious. There were window A/C units in every room but the kitchen and pool table room, and they do a great job of keeping the house cool. I was a bit concerned about the 2nd floor pool table space and bedroom trapping heat, but keeping the bedroom door open during the day and the fan on was all that was needed to allow the bedroom A/C to keep the upstairs cool. The outdoor shower was the best I've ever used, because it's so large and has immediate hot water. Don't forget to check out the bookshelf behind the fireplace wall - found something of interest to each member of my family back there. We chose this property because of the provision of bikes and the access to the Shining Sea Bike Trail (10 mile flat trail for bikers, joggers, walkers). Ken ensured that there were enough working bikes for our 4 person family, and we used them several times throughout the week to bike the trail, and to Woods Hole shops and restaurants. Though you can bike to the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal, we chose to walk. It takes about 15-20 min depending on your pace, to walk down to the heart of Woods Hole where the ferry and shops and restaurants are. We walked this route almost every day. There is no sidewalk between Glendon and Heuttner, but that short stretch has a guardrail and footpath that keeps you separated from the traffic on Woods Hole Rd. The house is a short drive from the Main St area of downtown Falmouth - where we spent time visiting the shops and restaurants. I believe it would have been a 15-20 min bike ride to get there, but my teenage kids didn't support my enthusiasm for biking everywhere, so we chose to drive. Thanks Ken, for a wonderful stay in Woods Hole!

A Gold Star

Highly recommend this property. Great location, clean, easy check-in, terrific host. Upstairs bedroom is huge as is the recreation room upstairs. Used the bicycles which are in very good shape. Within a 5 minute ride to bike trail and beach and downtown.

Woods Hole Summer 2020

We loved our time at this lovely vacation home. During this crazy time, this home was a great retreat. The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We had everything that we needed. Good Woods Hole spot
