The Pickersgill Family were great guests. They were fine tenants and respected the property and the neighbors. They were pleasant to deal with and seemed to enjoy their island time. Pleasure to have them! John Gurney
Very nice and spacious house with many entertainment spaces! The location was good for our desire to shop, swim at the beach, and attend the African American Film Festival throughout the Vinyard. Our only complaint was the limited bathroom facilities, one for such a huge space!
House was very clean and lovely with plenty of room. Is convenient to Oak Bluffs. John met us at the house and was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay!
The pics dont do the property any justice. A very quiet, quaint location close to both piers. A spacious house with comfortable living quarters. Looking forward to booking here again. Great experience.
The property was very well kept. The porch is amazing - we spend most of our time there :)

Marlene and her sisters were great guests. They were very pleasant and friendly to deal with. They cared for the home and seemed to truly enjoy their visit to the Vineyard. Would not hesitate at all to have them stay in the future, if they so desired. Thank you.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was extremely clean, more than enough room for all 6 of us, beautiful property all around. We’d recommend staying if you ever visit MV. John was extremely friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was super easy.
We absolutely loved this house and our time in Oaks Bluff. John was fantastic to work with and made sure we were comfortable and settled in when we arrived. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. We definitely plan to return someday!
We really enjoyed our time in this island home. It was quiet, clean, close to the top attractions, and it had all the amenities to make for an enjoyable time with family. Communication was great, and everything was smooth about our stay. Would definitely consider this home again in the future!
We loved our stay in the beautiful cabin. We also loved John! We felt very honored to stay in a place that had a great story behind it. We cooked dinner one night in the kitchen and it was great and we loved using the patio and sunroom in the morning to drink coffee and read. Renters keep in mind, the upstairs bedroom gets hot in the summer if you don’t keep the door open!

Emma, Thank you for choosing our home for your visit to the island. John Gurney
Our family really enjoyed this house and the vineyard. Perfectly located, close to everything but situated in a private neighborhood. John (owner) was extremely helpful and had a couple of great recommendations.
Our family hopes to return.

Excellent guest. Home lost central air yet client still had a good time under less than ideal conditions. Respected property. Would be happy to serve this family again. Thank you. J. Gurney
I think this was one of the best places we found in VRBO..
We initially was very skeptical about the place but when we reached the house it was wonderful, beautiful and very spacious..
John maintained the place very well..
He welcomed us warmly and explained us everything about the place..
Next time we go to Oak Bluff we will definitely try to stay at this place again.
It’s a very family friendly space. It’s not the most modern but the cost of staying in a house on MV is getting outlandish and for the value we didn’t care one bit. Owner was really friendly and not intrusive at all.
The property owner is very responsive and helpful. The house is nice and it’s just a few minutes from downtown Oak Bluffs. Quiet and peacefu with good patio space. The owner picked us up from the airport with his wife and parrot, Jeremiah. We appreciated the hospitality that we received. Thank you, Mr. G.
The house was perfect for our family, lots of rooms, wonderful sun room and delightful deck.

Why they chose this property
This is a family home that we now rent. We also have a two bedroom apartment on the property that we use for ourself, primarily on weekends.
Home is generally available from May1st thru October 31 each year.
What makes this property unique
What we find attractive about the Vineyard is that the character of the island has not changed in the 57 years that we have been coming here. There is more activity and certainly more homes than in the past but the feel is the same. Clean beaches and overall a quint place to visit and enjoy the tranquility of the island.
