We stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving as a large family group. We spent a few days at Natural Bridges State Beach, which is in walking distance. The kids played in the water and with the sand toys that were provided at the house. A cooler, beach chairs, and plenty of beach towels made the beach that much more enjoyable. There was so much sea life to be seen- dolphins, sea otters, sea lions, pelicans... and there is a walking trail to see monarch butterflies. The walk along West Cliff Drive is beautiful. We also walked over to the Seymour Marine Center, which was also very pleasant. We drove to the Monteray Aquarium. We also went to the downtown area, which I would recommend. They have a farmer's market on Wednesday evenings. Food was easy to get, as there is a big Safeway close by as we well as a Costco. There is also a health food store within walking distance and a bakery called Kelly's Bakery, which we heard is really good. What you see is what you get. The listing and photos are very accurate. If you are traveling with children or a baby- there are some kids books, stuffed animals, pack in play crib, and high chair. We can't wait to come back!
Walking distance to Natural Bridges and West Cliff.
