Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please take trash out of the home and place in the trash carts outside. If you are staying over the weekend, or vacating on a Sunday or Monday, please pull the trash carts to the curb on Sunday night.
Please strip all sheets and pillowcases from beds, beach and bath towels and place them in the shower next to the laundry.
If anything breaks or is not working, please contact us immediately!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

My husband of 29 years, Steven, and I have been restoring and building homes in the area for almost 2 decades. Both from New England, we have been trying to recreate the "cottages" around which we grew up near the coast there. The marshes and waterways in North Carolina are the perfect setting to do so:)
Why they chose this property
The area reminds us of New England, where my husband and I are both from.
What makes this property unique
The second oldest cottage on the island! We have refreshed and renewed some of the features but kept the architectural integrity. It's a quirky, unique cosy cottage in the most incredible location. A 1 minute walk across the road and on to the beach! Free parking at the cottage, no headaches about where to park! A 4 minute walk to restaurants and ice cream stores! Only A two minute walk to the donut store!
