Carmel beach cottage sits on a peaceful and private street off Scenic Drive called Carmelo. Situated between the Carmel River Beach and carmel beach with views to carmel mountains.

A newly remodeled carmel cottage 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom home, it feels like a comfortably appointed beach house. It's a cozy and uplifting spot to enjoy all the Monterey peninsula has to offer. It has 2 backyard patios with fire place and comfortable furniture. You can sit and enjoy the sound of the waves while relaxing. It is a 1 minute walk to Carmel River Beach and just a mile to downtown Carmel, Ocean Avenue, with its unique shops and galleries. It is also 5 minutes walking distance to the Carmel Mission and Clint Eastwood's Mission Ranch.

Shopping, wine tasting, golf, hiking, museums and of course beach walks are all close by. You'll be glad you spent time in this little slice of paradise.

Great location and accommodating hosts. Our third stay here. Thanks to the caretakers who allowed us a little extra time on our evening-flight departure day. TV hook-on is a little confusing but we worked it out in advance, allowing us to watch World Series games when not at Brophy’s (great place to watch).

Just perfect!

Spent 4 nights here and it was perfect! Steps from Carmel River beach and a nice mile walk to town. Everything was so clean and roomy. Well-stocked kitchen overlooks the cozy and secluded backyard, nice sized bedrooms and baths. Would LOVE to stay here again!

Beautiful home, perfect for our extended family! So close to the beach. Rained most of our visit, but we were able to truly relax in this comfortable, spacious home!

Amazing Carmel Stay

Absolutely perfect place for our family retreat! The house was beautiful, clean and the outside was perfect for hanging out. The location was also amazing - only one block from the beach and easy to walk on the coast into town. I would recommend this house to anyone!

Loved our stay at this property! One of the few newly updated and well designed homes we’ve found in Carmel! The backyard feels like a peaceful oasis and we loved the location of the home! Hope to be back!

Perfect Carmel getaway

Our family of five, two adult children and one teen all loved this house. Plenty of space for all of us. Carmel River Beach is a very short walk away. We used the back patio the entire stay. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful house and yard in Carmel

3 friends and I stayed at this beautiful house for 3 nights. It was our first time in Carmel and we loved everything about the house, neighborhood, town and beach. This is the most beautiful house I have ever rented through VRBO. All of the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was large and well appointed, and the backyard sitting area was awesome.

Wonderful

We loved everything about the house. It is beautifully decorated and landscaped. It was immaculately clean and had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Best of all to us was the location. We could walk to town, but were far enough away that it was peaceful. We were also close to two beaches. I highly recommend this property!

Lovely Home in a Charming Neighborhood

Our visit to this cottage was absolutely wonderful. The home is just as described and within walking distance to the water. It’s within a few blocks of Ocean Ave with restaurants and shops as well. The home is clean and modern and I enjoyed sitting on the back patio reading while hearing the waves. We would love to go back to this property on our next visit to Carmel.

Another great experience!

This is one of our favorite homes to stay in, have visited multiple times and we will be back again. The house is wonderful and the location is perfect . It is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay.The management company was new to us and they were fantastic. They helped us out with several issues and were so pleasant and responsive. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Needed More Time

This place is a 10+. The pictures are accurate and everything was so comfortable. There was everything we needed from pots and pans to spices. The area is great as we walked to Mission Ranch and took a great walk along the water. We could have walked to downtown which was a little over a mile. Next time we will stay longer.

“WFH from a different place”

Had nice change of scenery working from home from a different place - owners warned us WiFi was a bit spotty (it is!) but we brought our own hotspots and we were fine. Lovely house, spotlessly clean, very well appointed and quiet location with easy beach access and nice walk into town. Thank you!

A Return Visit to a Lovely Property

The home is so well designed and appealing both indoors and out. A perfect place for a daytime writing retreat and to revisit favorite restaurants and shops afterwards. If you love Carmel, you will enjoy this house during your stay here. Kitchen is well-equipped; fireplaces inside and out; heated floors in the master. We didn’t want to leave. Le sigh… Christopher, who is part of the house management staff solved a small issue for us promptly, and he was personable, efficient and a pleasure to meet. It was a lovely experience returning to stay again at this special home. We hope to return at some future time. Thank you for sharing this gem.

Lovely home, beautiful garden

We've stayed at this property 3 or 4 times over the past 2+ years. The property is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. The home is tastefully decorated, with a beautiful kitchen and up-to-date amenities. The garden is peaceful with areas for dining outside or reading in comfortable outdoor furniture. It's always spotless upon arrival and the property manager is always very responsive.

Very nice !

The house from the outside seems like a small ordinary Carmel house..But the inside is great. Very charming , nice outdoor space ,wonderful kitchen and fireplaces outside and inside. Inside is updated with nice appliances in kitchen and nice bathrooms…very pleasant . Would rent again. Close to ocean walkable . Can hear waves from backyard. The village is further, may need a car? Can walk but is further .

Why they chose this property

Once we moved to the midwest, we have visited Carmel annually. We searched for 3 years to find the perfect Carmel house and we think that we've found it here on Carmelo. It is a quiet side of town but very close to everything. It is so nice to be able to quickly walk to the water to watch sunsets in the evening. This is a great location for a year-round outdoor active life style.

What makes this property unique

Our home is entirely remodeled down to the studs in 2011-2012, very comfortable and in great location for access to the beach and beautiful scenery
