We enjoyed our peaceful stay on the trawler. It was a unique experience for us as we are feom Oklahoma. We walked to the beach and ro several restaurants. We really enjoyed the Market on Saturday. Being on the end of the dock was excellent. We had amazing views and watched the many boats coming in and out. Richard had 2 kayaks for our use and we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking to the channel. We chose to shower in the nearby bathrooms but the trawler has 2 showers. Great experience. Would definitely stay again if we are back in LA.

The boat was well maintained, roomy and comfortable. Sitting at the end of the dock, it had great views and always a cool breeze. The host was very helpful and attentive. Very enjoable stay that we hope to do again!

If you find it hard to get a good night's sleep...try a boat. I sleep better for those six days on the boat than I have had in 10 years. The location is handy to lots of lovely food and beaches...and, if you are lucky, sealions. We got two days of sleeping sealions (mother and baby) on a neighbouring dock and it was a delight.The heads (toilets) take a little getting used to - but just follow the instructions and everything works out. We were smooth operators by the second day. There are two kayaks available for use, but honestly, with our busy plans, we just came home each night, checked in on the sealions and flopped down in the main cabin to enjoy the view before bed. Next time...we will plan better and allocate a kayaking day!We did eat on board - there is a Trader Joe's on the other side of the marina and we got microwaveable or fry-able food which worked out just fine.We used the boat as a base to attend a wedding in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, a day at Paramount Studios and a day at Warner Bros Studios. The latter are about an hour in normal traffic from the site.
