This beautiful 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home is perfectly located at the end of the cul-de-sac in the popular Ocean Green/Silver Moss area in the Vanderhorst Plantation. With the community pool just down the street and this home’s proximity to the beach; your vacation destination awaits you!
As you ascend the front steps onto the large front porch and nestle into one of the Adirondack lounge chairs or swinging bench, you know your vacation has begun. The first floor houses the dining room, living room, and kitchen in an open floor design that creates a great family space. With the upscale furnishings and modern amenities, you will surly feel comfortable and at home. There are three guest rooms on the first level. A queen suite with a private bath that looks out onto the front porch, a two- twin bed room that looks out onto the back porch, and a queen guest room that share a full bath. Step out onto the spacious back porch and will ill find plenty of outdoor living space with comfortable lounging or dining and panoramic views of Turtle Point Golf Course and a natural Kiawah lagoon. Also located on the first level is the washer and dryer.
The second level of this home features two huge suites. The guest suite features a king bed, full bath, and seating area. The spacious master suite has a king bed, full bath with shower and tub as well as a beautiful and private screened in porch that overlooks the scenic golf and lagoon vistas.
This is a pet-friendly rental unit. Some restrictions may apply (breed, number of pets, and size or weight). Please email us to confirm that your pet(s) meet the owner’s requirements. Our group of five senior ladies had such a wonderful time on Kiawah and your special home.
Loved the location, we each had our own bedroom and the house had everything we needed. We all wanted to extend our visit, but had commitments back in Aiken SC. We will return for sure.

Beautiful property and location
Large 5 bedroom home was great! Close to pool, beach, and beautiful area to bike around. Especially great that the home is located in a cul-de-sac where the kids could safely play and ride bikes.
What a Lovely Home!
It was airy and comfortable. We had our Thanksgiving dinner on the beautiful screened-in porch. The beach was just a short walk away and was quiet and there were very few people there. 2016 future renters should beware
Let me start with the positives of this house ... location is perfect (short walk to the beach), the bedrooms & baths are comfortable, the kitchen is very well stocked, and we loved the 2 large dining table options! Overall the house has truly met the needs of my family. However, the Turtle Point golf course is undergoing major renovation, and this house is located on the 18th fairway. This was one of the deciding factors for us when we booked ... we were looking forward to enjoying the beautiful back porch and watching golfers. Instead, we have been subjected to being awakened at 7am by machinery and workers. They work until about 7pm and are so loud it is at times difficult to carry on a conversation when on the porch, and the noise wakes my 1 year old from his naps. In addition, the dust/dirt made the porches EXTREMELY dirty. Both screened in porches are our favorite places but they desperately need to be cleaned by the cleaning crew every time they come during the course construction. Unfortunately, our toddler gets so dirty crawling around on the porch that we have to do laundry often (luckily the washer and dryer were replaced during our stay - after the washer broke.) We did share this with Sweetgrass but they did not send anyone to clean, as of yet, during our stay.
Last, but not least, my greatest disappointment was that Sweetgrass rental properties did not take it upon themselves to disclose the golf course renovations to us before we arrived. Had they disclosed this, we would have gladly worked with them to find another rental property for our 2 weeks. We were all very much looking forward to the quiet Kiawah that we have grown accustomed to since we started coming here in 1990. Not disclosing this has left a very sour taste for all 7 adults.
I can only assume that after the golf course construction is complete in October 2016, that this place would be as lovely as we had truly imagined it would be. Until that time, I would not recommend this rental.
We have rented this house for several years now and have been pleased each time. Great location, great beach access and would recommend to others.
Great Spot for Island Getaway
We had a great stay at this wonderful property and would absolutely recommend it to any family or group looking for a nice and modern (yet affordable) island home. We had a group of 10 people (5 couples) that fit perfectly in the 5BR house that includes great outdoor spaces as well on both the main level (screened in porch) and master bedroom (balcony overseeing golf course). The house is situated in the Kiawah Island Resort property, which is perfect for people looking to work in a few rounds of golf or just relax at the lovely home. Shops and restaurants are about a 10-15 minute drive, which we found convenient.
Sweetgrass was also a pleasure to deal with, providing us with all the information we needed in advance of arrival and helping with all of our questions. At one point we learned that a number of properties on the island were flooded from a recent storm, but Sweetgrass promptly informed us that ours was safe!
Overall was extremely pleased with our stay!
Kiawah Island One of the most legendary barrier islands along the Southeast, Kiawah Island has long been the standard in private island luxury. With more than 10,000 natural wooded acres and 10 miles of pristine beaches, Kiawah is an island to be explored. And explore you will. Kiawah boasts five championships golf courses. Of course, the crown jewel is the famed Ocean Course. Known for it’s unrelenting play, the course was site of the 1991 Ryder Cup, the 2007 Senior PGA Championship and site of the 2012 PGA Championship. If golf isn’t your game, Kiawah was recently ranked #1 by Tennis Magazine in its list of the “Greatest US Tennis Resorts.” There are several different restaurants that Kiawah has to offer, as well. The Bohicket Marina is nearby where you can rent boats, fishing charters, boat charters, kayak rentals, etc. Freshfields Village contains your local grocery store and many shops and restaurants.
