About the property

Two bedroom, 2&1/2 bath condo, one balcony is beach view the other is lake view

On the western edge of Panama City Beach, nestled off the road in a gated community is Pinnacle Port. The ultimate family destination at Carillon Beach is packed with every amenity needed. Pinnacle Port Resort is perfectly situated on a peninsula with white sandy beaches and the Gulf of Mexico on one side and beautiful 800 acre Lake Powell on the other side. Pinnacle Port is described as a “quiet corner of the world” because it is free from the hubbub, marred traffic and noise of other locations, yet accessibly close to all the attractions of Panama City Beach.

Entrance to the 23 acre Pinnacle Port property is gained through a continuously manned security gate. You will also appreciate that the Pinnacle Port Property has roving property patrols on duty 24 hours every day.

The beach at Pinnacle Port is everything a good beach should be. Step out the back door of the Tower and you are immediately on the beach, where the sugar white sand invites you to sit enjoy the ocean view, the relaxing sound of the waves lapping against the shore, the captivating sunrises, glorious sunsets and the invigorating walks on the beach with all the pleasure that it brings.

Step out the front door of the tower and see a pier and boat dock located just beyond a lovely gazebo on beautiful Lake Powell. There are paddle boats, kayaks and canoes available for rent at the business office. You may want to bring your fishing gear and wet a hook from the pier or launch your boat at the boat ramp. Boat parking is available until you are ready to launch. In the cool of the evening for a change of pace you may choose to take an easy walk to nearby Carillon Beach and enjoy the live concerts on the green. Everything you could want for a fun filled vacation.

Pinnacle Port is family centered. There are four lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, horseshoes, two swimming pools and a children’s playground. All of these outdoor amenities beckon your use. In addition to these, you will also find a picnic pavilion with barbeque grills. Additional barbeque grills are found in other locations on the property.

The ground floor of the Tower is the location for indoor amenities and activities. The indoor portion of the large pool is in one wing of the Tower. You are also welcome to use the newly refurbished and equipped exercise room, separate saunas for men and women, a sitting area with comfortable couches and chairs and there card and game tables as well.

Should you want to explore opportunities away from Pinnacle Port, take a drive to Pier Park, only a short distance away. This recently developed center is designed to create an exciting shopping and dining experience.

Go a little further to the east and you will find Gulf World water park where you will be amazed and entertained watching the dolphins perform and sometimes even an opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Water sports and activities abound in the area. You name it and you can get it, from fishing excursion, wave runner, snorkeling, or a boat ride over to shell island. Then there are go kart tracks, mini golf and full golf courses, and exceptional restaurants.

On another day head west for a short drive down scenic 30A and you will find exclusive homes, shopping that is incredible and dining that is first class. But wait, Destin is just a hop skip and a jump away where you can find shopping in 3 different outside malls, a Bass Pro shop and wherever you may go you will find dining opportunities catered to please even the most sensitive palate. If you are a bicycle enthusiast you will find incredible paved bike path are waiting, all just minutes away.

Now let’s explore what my condo unit is like. My condo is located on the 7th floor of the tower building with stunning views of both Lake Powell and the Gulf of Mexico. The upstairs balcony overlooks the swimming pool and the gulf. Spectacular views of the setting sun can often be seen from the upstairs balcony. The Downstairs balcony overlooks the boat docks and Lake Powell.

This unit is a 2 bed room with 2 full baths upstairs and a half bath and laundry just off the kitchen downstairs. The master has one queen bed and a gulf view. There is plenty of closet space and a TV in the master. The other bedroom features two twin beds. The beds and furnishings are high quality designed to offer you maximum rest and comfort.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes and appliances. There are wine glasses, baking dishes, coffee mugs, and glasses. It has a new refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster oven, stove, blender, numerous cabinets for your convenience and other items found in a kitchen.

Here are some important things you need to know. First, my condo only sleeps and accommodates four people. There is no sofa bed and the dining table only seats four, so four is the maximum number that can be reasonably accommodated. Then, you will be pleased to know that my condo is a no smoking unit. No pets are allowed by the condo association and will not be admitted at the front gate. Finally, The new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is only 20 minutes away!

Come on down and enjoy an awesome vacation with something for everyone in the family!

About Cass Robinson

My wife and I bought our condo in 1984 after vacationing here for several years. Interestingly enough, my wife remembers coming to this very area before there was a Pinnacle Port with her father and they went crabbing in what is now Lake Powell. Our four children grew up coming to Pinnacle Port and loving it. Now their kids are doing so as well. It has been an integral part of our lives for nearly three decades stretching over three generations.

Why Cass Robinson chose Laguna Beach

To use the real estate expression, it is “location, location, location. You just can't get any closer to the beach than this. I think a better or more beautiful location cannot be found with the gulf out the door right onto the beach on one side of the building and out the door on the other side to Lake Powell. My wife always felt secure here and we always felt that it was safe place for our kids and now our grandkids to be and play. It is family centered with terrific visual appeal and offers a vast array of amenities.

What makes this condo unique

The property is a half mile away from the noisy busy traffic. The Pinnacle Port beach is longer than any to be found in the area and the property is bordered on the east by very upscale detached houses and a small state park on the west, separated by Phillips Inlet. In a sense we are cloistered and at the same time essential services and conveniences are nearby.

The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The transaction with Mr Robinson via VRBO was smooth and we had a great time!

Perfect Accommodations for a Family Vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

I was MORE than pleased with not only the unit (which is decorated beautifully and perfect for a family of 4 or less), but also the owner's willingness to help with ANYTHING that came up (time of booking until time of check-out). I never met him face-to-face, but he is an amazing man with a huge heart. My children and I had stayed at Pinnacle Port for the past 13 years with my ex-husband, so I really only felt comfortable staying there after the divorce. Cass made it SO easy and was VERY accommodating to any/all needs I had. I would DEFINITELY recommend you book this unit if it is available!!

We will be back! Had a wonderful time.

  • 5 of 5

Yes, the location is off the beaten path, but we loved it. The area was so lovely and quiet. You walk out and you are on the white sand. The condo was beautifully decorated with exception of the two recliners. The fabric was worn out but that goes to show you how much everyone loved the comfort of them. The kitchen was fully equipped, well only one dish towel and dish cloth but we managed. Someone had sharpened all the knives. There were plenty of bath towels and pillows. In cooler weather, there may be a need for some heavier blankets but the lighter weight ones were enough for us. The beds were super comfortable. The master bath could have used a grab bar and bath mat for safety. We loved both balconies, the master bedroom faced the gulf and was perfect for am coffee time and then back for awesome sunsets. The balcony off the living room (too hot in am) faced Lake Powell and was great for star gazing because it was so dark outside. We even saw a shooting star and many new constellations. We didn't mention the TV's because we did not have any service all week. Apparently the Pinnacle was switching over to Netcom and unfortunately, the TV boxes were held up in Miami due to Hurricane Irma. Also no internet but we found out that we could survive w/o both for a week. Besides we had our smart phones.

Schooner's Restaurant was the best on the beach. Recommend the lobster, tuna dip and Bloody Mary's. Much better food, service and bill than Margaritaville, a tourist trap. The Sea Screamer was so much fun and well worth it. The boat would make waves and the dolphins would all appear and jump the waves. We were disappointed with the Betsy Ross Paddle Wheeler. . No a/c at first, then only half a/c. Also no Mystery Dinner Theater as advertised, due to "not enough persons". Had decent food though.

Be sure to go to St. Andrew's, 10th Ave. There's a red and white houseboat called "Just the Cook" where they make terrific shrimp taco's and you get 2 free beers because they don't have a liquor license. Great ambiance. Also found a consignment shop on the main drag, name? Bought 3 pr. of Chico's pants for a song and one pair was brand new.

All in all, thank you Cass Robinson for making our vacation everything we had hoped for and more. We will be back. Sept. 16-23, 2017

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice review. I have bought 2 new recliners and they are scheduled to be delivered later this month for a maintenance week. I also have placed work orders for the Maintenance Dept. to install grab bars in both bath rooms. It is difficult to do these types of improvement when there are renters occupying the condo, and I have been booked solid for the entire season, but now that the season is virtually over, I can proceed. Perfect Location and Spectacular Views!

  • 3 of 5

Pinnacle Port/Carillon Beach is perfectly located, quiet and so beautiful! The pools, sandy white beaches and emerald water are simply gorgeous and we enjoyed the use of Burke's Beach Services during our stay. Pinnacle Port's elevators were extremely fast and the property kept continually clean by their sweet staff working on site.

This condo has stunning views of the lake, Gulf and large pool and the use of a keypad on the door is a definite perk when coming and going to the beach. The condo is roomy and the beds very comfortable; however, this unit is in need of much renovation as it is very dated and worn. The bathrooms were extremely dirty and the showers/sinks filled with black mold. I contacted Mr Robinson immediately upon arrival to note the lack of light bulbs throughout the unit, the vast amounts of mold and the other various house keeping issues with this property. I received a brief response from Mr. Robinson two days later and his housecleaning supervisor showed up to partially remove the mold from the showers but I was left without response or remedy to the other various issues noted. Pinnacle Port was in the process of changing their network/TV providers during our stay which caused all three TV's and the wireless internet in the unit to be useless for three days.

Publix, Winn Dixie and CVS are a convenient stone's throw away and The Back Porch restaurant and Island Time Sunset/Dolphin Cruise are definite 'musts' when visiting PCB!

I would most surely stay at lovely Pinnacle Port/Carillon Beach again in the future though not in this particular unit having been very unsatisfied, uncomfortable and extremely disappointed with this unit's overall very unsanitary condition.

Owner's Response: I agree that my condo could benefit by a renovation. However, I have taken this into consideration in setting the rental rate. to do a renovation would require a significant increase in the rental rate. Right now my condo is one of the lowest cost and bet values in the Panama City Beach area. Take a look at what some other renters have described their experience: "Best bang for your buck on ocean front". "Great condo for the money!" "Excellent Value" I employ a cleaning to clean after each renter this cleaning service has an inspector to follow each cleaning and to correct any lapses they find. I also provide each renter with a phone number they can call to get any cleaning problems. The cleaning service does a routine condo cleaning, but it is not and can't be a detailed "deep cleaning". Nice Condo with best beds at Pinnacle Port!

  • 5 of 5

Always a great time at Pinnacle Port! Nice condo on the 7th floor. Great week with minimal crowds. This is our 6th year at Pinnacle Port and first stay in this condo. Nice accommodations with awesome beds and bed linens. Despite the double red flags for half the week we really had a good time. Mr. Robinson was awesome to work with! Looking forward to staying in this condo again!

Best bang for your buck on ocean front.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in the condo, it had almost everything we needed (couldn't find a wine opener) 😜. It fit my family of 5 quite comfortably. Cass was very friendly and accommodating when we were interested in booking a second week. The views of the ocean from the comfy master bed were stunning. I would love to book again in the future.
