Our peaceful 5-acre orchard offers a cozy countryside retreat with twinkling lights, starry nights, and the fresh scent of citrus in the air. Sip a hot beverage on your private balcony, meet our friendly chickens, and enjoy stargazing on clear evenings for a one-of-a-kind Southern California farm-stay experience.

we allow 1 pet 50 lbs or less for an additional charge and must be on leash when outside. please add your pet to details during check out process.

We’re just minutes from Oceanside beaches, charming wineries, and top attractions around San Diego.


The Barn Studio is a cozy second-floor guest retreat that sleeps up to four guests. You’ll find a luxurious California King bed and a premium American Leather queen comfort sleeper for true comfort. Enjoy a coffee and tea bar stocked with cocoa and tea. A private balcony overlooking the orchard, and thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay extra special.

Happy Hills is a working family farm with 400+ Nagami kumquat trees. From December–June, you may taste the harvest straight from the orchard. Wander our 5-acre ranch, greet the chickens, or simply relax in the peace of the countryside.

Best vacation ever - my pup was so thrilled not to be in a hotel room. Beautiful suite over the barn. The bed and bedding were exceptionally comfortable. The nicest hosts. The resident chickens and roosters were just the best entertainment of our two grandchildren. We had the most relaxing time! Will be back again.

We had a lovely and relaxing weekend and wish we had a three night stay or more than two nights but lucky we found Happy Hills Farm. The amenities were outstanding, generous and thoughtfully. The owner was very accommodating showing us how to work the tv and was available if we had questions. The view from the barn was quite nice. We appreciated the eggs, fruit and toiletries. We’ve stayed at many places around the world and this is so close to home and a great find. Thank you. I think it would be a perfect setting for a wedding venue. Cheers

Check in was easy, space was beautiful. Views were great - we wish we had more time to enjoy the property.Location was a bit farther out of the city than I imagined. Glad there were snacks and coffee available if needed. Grateful for the eggs.
