Great stay, very accommodating!!!
This was a great home for our family fishing trip. It is very accommodating for large groups. The owners were very kind and made sure we had everything needed. Would highly recommend it!!!!
Thank you for staying with us and glad your family had a wonderful vacation!
Nice getaway with all the amenities!
Great location! Great cabin with plenty of space and all the amenities. Fishing was awesome!
Great week on the Flowage
We spent a week on the Chippewa Flowage. 2 families, and then our adult children and there were 3 grandchildren with our group. Total of 15 people. Plenty of room, house was great as the 3 levels gave everyone plenty of room. 2 large living rooms with TV's, couches, etc so most of us could sit around on the same floor if desired. We had our own 2 boats so did not use the pontoon. Able to boat across the lake to 2 restaurants/bars or drive there. Both were nice places with good food. Large and nice yard leading from the house to the dock, gave us plenty of room to play washers, bean bags, etc. We hired a guide for the first day to get an idea of where to fish for the remainder of the week. Did fairly well with him. Majority of our fishing for the balance of the week was for crappies as we found a couple of "hot spots". Had 2 large fish fries and actually brought some fillets home. Overall, a super week and we've already talked about plans for next year to return.
WONDERFUL FOR FAMILY REUNION
My husband and I took our adult children and their children here in celebration of our 50th anniversary. We had 16 people, ages from 74 down to 4 and we did not feel crowded. Everyone had a great time fishing, swimming and using the pontoon boat. There is a nice restaurant right down the lake you can pull up to and have lunch or supper. The fire pit at night was fun and Hayward was a short drive away for anyone who wanted to leave for a bit. That was rare. We hope to return to this same place soon! Everyone hated to leave.
Four generations came together for the week.
Four generations came together ages 72 down to 6 weeks old. Everything was clean and well maintained. Had a little problem with the air conditioning but gave a call and was very helpful in getting it to work. Beds were very comfortable and the living or great rooms were large with plenty of chairs and couches to sit on. Would recommend this property to enjoy for the week. Activities we went to were the Lumberjack Show, played mini golf, regular golf, Wilderness Park and Zoo and the Fishing Hall of Fame and the casino was within 15 miles. Also went to the flea market and went into Hayward shopping. Went swimming at a beach in Hayward. Ate at the Fish Creek Eatery (very good food) and 3 times at the Chief Lake Lodge and Restaurant which was a short drive around the lake from the lodge. Very good at all times.
The Chippewa Flowage is Wisconsin's third largest lake at 15,300 acres. It is the largest Wilderness Lake, only 5% of the shoreline is developed. 'The Chip' is unmatched for its natural beauty, islands, wildlife, and fishing. It is A world class Muskie Fishery but yields large quantities of bass, pike crappie and sunfish. You do not have to travel far to fish, this property is an outstanding fishing spot, check out the Crappie fishing in the fall. Enjoy the solitude of this chalet and lake but also enjoy Hayward, just 20 minutes away.
