About the property

Mountain views with check in time 4:00 pm & check out 11:00 am

We have private, quiet lodging on our 34 acre estate away from the lodge. Open space all around. No highway noise out here. The vacation rental is a chalet style second story lodging on top of a large garage not used during the rental months and it has your own private entrance, driveway, and a private yard with a picnic table in the trees. There is also a covered carport, plenty of parking and a pull through if you have a boat or trailer. There are 2 bedrooms, both with handmade log beds, comfortable bedding, and beautiful quilts. There is 1 bathroom with a tub shower combination with plenty of large soft towels. Also a washer and dryer for your cleaning needs. There is wood flooring throughout, with throw rugs to give you that feel of rustic lodging in the mountains. Also granite counter tops in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has the utensils you need to enjoy cooking. A breakfast bar or a table that seats six will make anywhere you eat enjoyable. Or if you prefer to eat outdoors, there is a BBQ and a table with seating on the balcony deck in the trees so you can sit ,eat, drink, and enjoy your meals viewing the great rocky mountain range. The living room has a new queen sofa sleeper and love seat that is grouped around an entertainment center for relaxing after a day of exploring Glacier Park, Flathead Lake or one of the many other beautiful areas to visit. We have high speed wireless internet and a large flat screen satellite TV. We also have hiking on the estate or nearby. Jewel Basin is only 7 miles to the trail head , Strawberry lake is 4 miles to the trail head, and 5 miles to the Peters Ridge trail head.

If you feel like a lazy day by Krause Creek , which flows through our meadows below the mountain range, you can have a picnic with your own picnic table with breathtaking views of the Swan range. There is also huckleberry picking in the area and your hosts can give you a few directions so you can have the experience of picking your own berries. Located halfway between Bigfork and Kalispell, against the Rockies. Flathead lake is 10 miles south, and Glacier park 30 Miles north. Fun in every direction.

About Debbie

Evan and Debbie both work in Kalispell. In our spare time we are usually fishing, hunting, rock hounding, or visiting relatives and sightseeing around Montana. It depends on the season or weather. We compete with each other all year to see who can catch the biggest fish. He knows the area very well and has many a hunting story to tell. We are always willing to direct you in the right direction to enjoy our local attractions. Debbie is an artist who does a little bit of everything, be it sculpture, painting, or making jewelry out of antlers, Montana agates or anything that is from nature. She travels to several shows in the Montana area and has been successful in selling nature theme jewelry. The holidays are quite busy here and with snow and Christmas lights, seems quite magical. Lots of snow for you snow lovers! Not too hot in the summer around here either. Really nice area and climate.

Debbie purchased this apartment in 2001

Why Debbie chose Kalispell

Flathead Valley is a recreational paradise, with spectacular scenery. We live southeast of Kalispell at the base of the Swan Range of the Rocky Mountains. We like it out here because you can relax without any noise.

What makes this apartment unique

The mountain view is what made us buy this place. After a busy day at work we both look forward to coming home, eating dinner, sipping a glass of wine, relaxing, and the mountains are always right there to look at from the house or deck.

All the comforts of home, away from home

  • 5 of 5

I spent three nights here by myself and was very pleased and impressed with the accommodations. It's beautifully furnished and the layout maximizes the living space. The kitchen had every utensil, bowl and plate I needed and was impeccably clean. My only complaint, if I had one, is that I'm tall (6'0") and cracked my head a couple of times on the sloped ceiling near the wall - but that's more my clumsiness than anything else!

I highly recommend this property!

It was a clean cabin in a beautiful area. The cabin is close enough to the park and shopping places.

Beautiful memories created here

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (theee kids--ages 13, 12, and 4) stayed in this amazing cabin for 5 nights in October. From the moment we walked in, we were in love. The property is nestled back in the woods with incredible views abounding. We arrived from Yellowstone late in the evening and with no energy left for staples shopping. We were thrilled to find fresh homemade cookies awaiting us, along with coffee for the morning (Can I get an amen?!?!) and laundry supplies to get us moving again from our travels. The property is immaculately clean and cozy. We cooked nearly every breakfast and dinner, and we found everything we could have possibly needed ready at hand. This location was a great launching spot to Glacier and the Jewel Basin (a family favorite--we got to play in some serious snow, which we Southerers don't see often). Our family enjoyed serious Monopoly competitions every evening with Uno matches thrown in. SUCH a nice touch to make family games available as well. We could not be happier and will recommend this property to anyone staying in the area. Thanks so much for all the beautiful memories we were able to create here. I will treasure them always.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for a wonderful response. We try to make our guests feel like this is their home away from home and having little extra touches we feel helps to make it less stressful. We were truly blessed with an amazing mixture of people from all over this year.We hope you can visit again. Thanks Debbie and Evan

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was immaculate. The place was more of an extension of their home rather that a rental unit. It had everything necessary that we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was in great shape. The property was very quiet and pretty. We could see wildlife from the deck. It was about a 45 minute drive to Glacier National Park. We were happy to be able to stay in such a comfortable place after a long day of hiking. The hosts were very nice and lent us Bear Spray for the Park. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful Mountain Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a wonderful stay. We were so impressed with all the thoughtful details when we arrived. It was very easy to make meals with any necessary gadgets provided in the kitchen . One of our favorite nights was having dinner out on the deck, watching the wildlife, and then playing one of the board games offered as entertainment in the home. It was great having Evan drive us around the property and share some information on the area. We will definitely recommend your home to friends visiting the area. Thank you for everything Debbie and Evan!
