About this property
Mountain Bliss | 40 Min to Glacier National Park
Montana has a way of getting under your skin — and Mountain Bliss is the kind of place that makes you never want to leave.
This thoughtfully designed 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in a quiet Kalispell neighborhood sleeps up to 8 guests and is finished with a level of care and craft that sets it apart. Every bedroom features a custom log bed and log side tables hand-harvested from downed trees in a nearby forest, hand-peeled and handcrafted by a local Montana artisan. Each room is adorned with a nature-inspired mural, and throughout the home you'll find original artwork by local artists — elk, bears, buffalo — pieces that feel like Montana rather than just pictures of it.
The great room is the heart of the home — open plan, warm, and inviting. Settle into the leather chair with ottoman and nailhead finish, pull a throw blanket from the sofa, and let the natural gas fireplace do the rest. A 65-inch TV with streaming services and a full library of games, books, and magazines means rainy days are never a problem. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for real cooking — new appliances, everything you need, and a propane BBQ on the back deck for evenings outside. Coffee lovers will find complimentary coffee ready to brew, with a French press and kettle for tea. The dining table seats everyone comfortably — whether that's a family breakfast or a post-hike dinner.
Step through the sliding glass door off the great room onto the back deck — patio table, umbrella, string lights, BBQ, and a Thermocell mosquito device for good measure. Beyond the deck, the backyard is enormous, fully fenced, and faces other similarly large backyards. It's the kind of outdoor space that's genuinely rare in a vacation rental — perfect for kids, dogs, or simply doing nothing in the Montana sunshine.
Climate is handled throughout: a large mini-split system heats and cools the main living area, with individual wall heaters and quiet oscillating fans in each bedroom for personalized comfort. The natural gas fireplace adds warmth and ambience in cooler months.
This is a home that takes care of you. Come back from a long day on the trail, pour something cold, and remember why you came to Montana.

An amazing property, especially if you have dogs! Large fully fenced back yard that our dogs loved! Irene was exceptional. There was a little glitch with the washing machine and she promptly gave us pick-up and delivery service for our laundry at her cost. 2 days later they installed a new washing machine. This place was awesome!
We loved staying here with our toy poodle. Wonderful large fenced in yard and all amenties needed. Irene our host is wonderful and very responsive to our needs. Looking forward to coming back!
This house was perfect! The beds and living areas were very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed and the back yard ideal for our 2 doggies. We also found the location very convenient for all of our outdoor activities to Whitehead and Glacier and close to great restaurants. We will be back!
This house was perfect for our family of 5 plus my parents. It was clean and had everything we needed, including shampoo and soap! The deck was great for evenings outside and the yard was perfect for the kids and cousins to play whiffle ball! Location was close to everything and easy to find. Would stay here again if we get back to Montana!

Great property with huge yard. Clean and short driving distance to everything.
We loved our stay at the Mountain Bliss home! Great location in a quiet, safe neighborhood, but close to downtown, shopping and restaurants. The house was cozy, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean--and our dog loved the huge, fenced backyard. Highly recommend!

House had all the amenities we could have needed/wanted. Nice, quiet neighborhood with conveniences close by. Great home base for our time in Glacier. We enjoyed our stay!
The home is nice and in a quiet neighborhood but needs a refresh as it is showing wear

Thank you for your feedback! The entire house was renovated in 2022. I strive to offer an updated, clean home-away-from-home. If there's anything that specifically felt dated or in need of a refresh, please let me know. Thanks for staying!
This is a great little house! It's exactly as advertised, very clean, beds were comfortable, and it's very quiet. The neighborhood was pleasant, the backyard was very peaceful, it's close to Main Street that has restaurants etc. Irene was helpful and responsive, overall it was a great house!

About the host
Hosted by Irene
Mountain Bliss has been a labor of love from the very beginning. I fell completely in love with this area and have put genuine care into every detail of this home — because I believe the place you stay shapes the entire trip.
I know this region well and I'm happy to help make your stay exceptional — trail recommendations for your group's experience level, the best local spots in Kalispell, tips for beating the crowds on Going-to-the-Sun Road. Some guests want that guidance, others prefer to disappear into their own Montana adventure. Either works perfectly for me. You set the tone.
What I hope most is that Mountain Bliss feels like more than a rental. That you walk in, exhale, and feel like you belong there — because that's exactly what it was designed to be.
Why they chose this property
There are plenty of places to stay near Glacier. There is nowhere quite like Mountain Bliss.
From the moment you walk in, the craftsmanship stops you. The log beds in every bedroom were hand-harvested from downed trees in a nearby Montana forest, hand-peeled and built by a local artisan — each one a piece of functional art. The Glacier National Park murals in every room, the original paintings of elk, bears, and buffalo throughout the home — this isn't generic vacation rental decor. It's Montana, rendered with genuine love for the place.
And then there's the backyard. Enormous and fully fenced, it's a rare find in a vacation rental — the kind of space where kids can run freely and dogs can roam without a second thought. It's a residential neighborhood setting, open and friendly rather than secluded, with the same spacious yards shared by the neighbors around you.
Mountain Bliss sleeps 8 comfortably, making it an ideal choice for families, friend groups, or multi-generational trips. It's warm enough for a couple's getaway, spacious enough for a group reunion, and close enough to Glacier that you can be on a trail within the hour.
If you're coming to Montana to actually experience Montana — this is your home base.
What makes this property unique
The details are what set Mountain Bliss apart. Guests consistently mention the location, the cleanliness, and the warmth of the home — but it's the craftsmanship that makes it memorable. Custom handcrafted log beds in every room, original Montana artwork throughout, and Glacier-inspired murals that make the place feel like it belongs to the landscape outside.
The backyard is a standout — fully fenced and enormous, it's a rare find in a vacation rental that's perfect for families with kids or guests traveling with dogs.
Add a fully stocked residential kitchen, a natural gas fireplace, individual climate control in every room, and a location 40 minutes from one of the most spectacular national parks in the country — and Mountain Bliss delivers a Montana experience that's hard to replicate anywhere else.
