We very much enjoyed our stay in this condo at Colony Reef Club. Some noteable aspects were…The amazing view.The jet bathtub was a very surprise. A bed can make or break a vacation. Our master bedroom king size bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. All other beds in the condo were average, but the master exceeded my expectation in comfort. We had a few questions the day of arrival and the owner was very prompt and kind in answering questions. The property felt very safe. Everyone was kind and the gated property made me feel more secure. The next time we stay at CRC, we will check for availability at this condo first.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location & view was great. However,the floors were unclean with locks of hair throughout the condo. The windows were dirty & smudged with hand prints & seen alot of rust around the doors & windows. The front door looks very worn & the sliding glass door in the master bedroom was very difficult to open. The tile throughout the condo needs updating as a lot of breaks were visible. It also needs some painting (ceiling & walls) The bathrooms were upgraded & very nice other than paint needed. Overall, our stay was good but the condo needs more updating & cleanliness.

Spectacular Beachfront Spot

Ideal spot to bring family for sun, beach and swim! Plenty of things to do : swimming pools, hot tub, game tables, tennis, basketball court etc. Our rental was spacious 3 bedrooms unit, full of kitchen amenities with spectacular balcony with table and chairs to bask in oceanfront view for morning sunrise views!

The only recommendation I have for this particular unit is that there needs to be empty cabinet space for the guests food. Other than that we were very happy with our unit and the property. Would highly recommend it to others!

Outdated but nice

Entire complex is older but it has nice pool and hot tub, and private access to the beach. Beach is great. Apartment could use some update. Master room drapes have holes, bathrooms in the 2nd bedroom has rust and mold. Kitchen didn’t have dish soap or extra garbage bags. Little thing could make the experience better. Apartment has a wonderful view on the ocean.

Disappointed

Great view but it ends there. Should find ways to convey rules in a more pleasant way. Felt very uncomfortable with wording and threats of fines and removal off property if not followed. For the cost was very dated and in need of repairs and updating. Would not stay here again. Also supply of toilet paper and garbage bags should be included.

Beautiful View!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was spacious with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It had plenty of room for 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The view of the ocean from the balcony, living room, and master bedroom was breathtaking! We were pleasantly surprised to find a couple of beach chairs, boogie boards, and an umbrella in a bedroom closet. We had to pack light since we flew, and it was nice to have beach accessories available to use. Overall the condo was clean and the bathrooms seem to have been renovated somewhat recently. However, the drain in the master bathtub was very slow, so all six of us ended up sharing the smaller bathroom in the hallway. The kitchen has a really nice refrigerator and dishwasher, but the microwave and oven were older and somewhat temperamental. We cooked most of our meals in the condo and there were plenty of pots and pans, utensils, etc. I spent one evening organizing dishes in the cabinets because it was difficult to find things. It seemed like previous guests had just haphazardly placed items in cabinets. The feature we enjoyed the most was definitely the balcony! It has a dining table where we ate most of our meals while looking at the ocean. The outdoor area was wonderful. Our kids played tennis a couple of times and we loved that there were books to borrow in the rec center. There is a really large pool with plenty of seating and umbrellas. After about a 5 minute walk from the condo, we were at the beautiful beach and spent a lot of time at both the beach and the pool. The location of the condo was great. It is close to groceries and restaurants, and about a 15-20 minute drive to historic Saint Augustine. Overall, it was a wonderful week at the beach!

I emailed the front office, received a call the following day saying someone would come check it out Mon but no one showed. I called again Tues & was told they would reach out to the maintenance guy again & have him come; no one ever came or called. Microwave also needs replaced as it takes forever to heat anything up. Minor things & we still had a great week.

Reviewer Comments: Overall, the resort is clean, has beautiful grounds and maintenance, and well informed, and intended staff.I would not rate this as a "GOLD" condominium however based on past vacations, and the fact that we own rentable properties in resort areas in different parts of the country and can compare properties.I would call the unit somewhat "tired." It needs upgrading and updating. I left the staff a list of what I hope is considered constructive criticism, and not just "bitching." Natalie Dehr and others seemed very receptive to discussing what my wife and I found to be issues. None of these were "major" but taken in total, they made for a less than impressive experience. Windows were dirty, the grill was dirty and had bugs in it, the track lighting in the kitchen was damaged, and in fact a hazard with a light having from the track, lighting in general was marginal, with the bunk room literally dark, and other rooms needing more "wattage." The sink and fixture in the master bath is badly scaled and very difficult to turn on and off. Just a few things that if attended to would make the unit much more comfortable and attractive. I can't emphasize enough the issue with the windows. What the CRC has a MAJOR selling point is the view. That is one reason we paid for a 4th (top) floor ocean side unit, labeled "gold." When there is sand and sea spray covering a dingy picture window and master suite sliding door, it is frustrating. I cleaned them. I also left information about the linens, which did not fit the king bed, and the fact that pillows were old, soft, and few--we took ones from the "bunk room" to also use, as we had no one in that room. Just a few things, that wouldn't cost a lot to change, would make this a "GOLD" stay, but it simply ISN'T! Lastly, unless there was something on the TV that I couldn't access, High Definition television is a standard. (We were there for the NCAA BB tournament and the Master's Golf tournamen

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1985 original owner of #2209 - sold four years ago. Have rented the last four years sometimes more than once a year. This is our annual fourth of July family reunion. We rent three condos. In July of 2016 we rented unit 2304 paying 1/2 rental on 7/20/16 and the other half - on 2/13/17. When we arrived we were told we were in 2402 that 2304 was not available. We specifically rented 2304 so that we would overlook pool and grassy area to watch our grandchildren. The rental office employees were dismissive and defensive and never even apologized to us for this inconvenience telling us that 2402 was a gold unit so is 2304 and that it was an ocean view which we did not want. They acted as if they were doing us a favor by letting us rent a condo. In the 30 plus years we have been coming to Colony Reef Club we have never had one problem with management . We were treated by the staff and manager with total disrespect and in my opinion they need to be better trained in customer service. In light of all the problems we encountered this year we are not sure we will return next year for our annual vacation where we rent three condos. we were very unsatisfied with management and condition of property and as stated above did not think the staff was professional at all.
