Beautiful location

It is a beautiful and quiet location. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and the kids got to see a dolphin! Close to stores. The place was very clean and had all the supplies we needed.

We picked the property for it's closeness to Weeki Wachee, which my 4 yr old granddaughter loved. The house was clean and well equipped for outdoor fun! I would definitely recommend thus property to others!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a great Family Vacation enjoying the pool, the views, the home, and of course the boat. Home was clean, well equipped, and has a great backyard for kids and adults alike. The floating dock was easily accessible and the boat was in perfect condition. Easy access to the Gulf and Anclote Island. We will book again and highly recommend this property.

Great property for a getaway

The house had enough space for our family. Was in a great neighborhood. Very clean and equipped with everything we needed. Communication was good with rental company. Easy to get to places and access to plenty restaurants and stores. If you enjoy golfing there were several courses around. Highly enjoyed use of the boat. Had a great family vacation.

Best Vacation Ever !!

We have been to Florida almost every year for vacation since 2009 and have never stayed in the same place twice BUT we will come back here next year and possibly yearly. The neighborhood was nice and the surrounding area is far more build up since 2014 when we were at New Port Richey last. This is a Good thing. Owner and manager were very responsive and the house had everything you need. Boat was amazing. Sandbar was our go to spot offshore. Best vacation we've ever had. Loved everything about it. Relaxing in the pool and sitting on the back patio at morning/ night was therapy for the mind and body.

Great Property-Location-Boat!

The house is clean and the 2nd bathroom is brand new! The boat is also fairly new and very comfortable with blue tooth connectivity. We had a few small issues during the week which were quickly addressed. Overall we loved the location and the access to boat-only beaches. I would advise people who want to use the boat to familiarize themselves with the depth charts for the area before arriving. Some locations are very shallow at low tide and it is good to know in advance where you can and cannot take the boat.

The pictures on line do not reflect the property inside. The place I know was old but it could have been much cleaner. The dock needs to be more steady it is really difficult to board a boat when the dock wiggles all over the place. I feel for 260.00 that is really to much for this property.

Annual Florida Getaway!

Had a beautiful week with friends, my hubby & our furbabies...the house, property & location were great... Then on our last day (early afternoon) 2 strangers just walked through the side gate & down to the boat...no communication they were coming especially with having 2 dogs with...I believe it was disrespectful since we still had our final day left & just to have people come to interfere with our last day to detail the boat....the boat detail needs to be completed/done after the tenant(s) have vacated from their stay... Overall, we had a great time, but just felt disrespected with no communication & strangers just walking in thru the gate with no acknowledgement...

Wonderful family vacation

This was our 1st trip to NPR, we had a great time at this house. I chose this rental for the opportunity of boating out to Anclote Key every day, which is what we did! The boat is older and a pontoon is never a fast ride but was still very enjoyable. It took us about 30 mins each day one way from the house to the nearest sandbar. We never made it to the actual island, the sandbar was beautiful and provided plenty of area for activities and shelling. The home has everything needed, towels/linens/cups/nice beach chairs/ fishing equipment/umbrellas. We purchased and left a larger cooler, there was a very small blue one provided. The 2nd bathroom is a little awkward as it is located in garage. We have a mini cooper, and it was a tight fit in the garage when accessing the bathroom. Good luck if you have a larger car! You are strictly told you must park in garage at all times fyi. The small pool was heated, we used it daily when we returned from the sandbar/island. We don't fish but the canal water is very clear and you could see lots of fish in the water. We traveled to tarpon springs/ Dunedin for dinner, didn't find much in the way of restaurants close by. We tried Catches but were not impressed for the $. We would definitely stay here again.

Not what we expected but it turned out fine

When we first arrived, I was upset. The pool is tiny. There's no bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The second bathroom is in the garage-- not under air/heat. It's also miniscule, and there's a huge sign on the toilet that says you must flush before wiping and again after every 2nd wipe or you'll overflow it. The bed in the main bedroom has a mattress that sinks uncomfortably far when you sit on it. The dryer isn't vented outside, so you have to lift the garage door slightly when using it and it heats up the garage (and heats up the 2nd bath too). There's a steep pair of steps with no handrail, to get from the upper level deck to the path down to the dock. The brickwork on the patio deck is uneven, the patio tables/chairs/reclining loungers are cheap and the chair legs are rusting, and the flower pots are all chock full of weeds. Our expectations were just waaaaaay off, due to the variance with the listing photos. I felt so bad that I had encouraged my mom to come with us and pay half the rental cost! But in the end, it all worked out. It's actually not a bad house. The pontoon boat was amazing. The pool was adequate for 4 adults, and we did spend a fair amount of time in it. We dealt with the bathroom and dryer issues. The bed in the main bedroom was actually comfortable to sleep on in spite of the sagging when sat upon. So in the end, none of it was as much of a problem as we first thought it would be. I think the biggest issue was those initial expectations not being met. Show/tell like it is, and people wouldn't have unmet expectations on arriving. All in all, it did work for us and the house was certainly clean and conveniently located. The kitchen has been updated. Floors are nice. There are lots of good things here. Give it a chance, BUT do go in with reasonable expectations. I think we'd all be willing to go back, if they'd be willing to host us again after my review. ;)

Comfortable, clean home

This home was very clean upon arrival and we felt right at home. The house was well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Great location, close to grocery stores and many nice restaurants. The pontoon boat was great. Due to weather, we only used it once. But lots of fun. Never did get out to the sand bar. We enjoyed our stay.

Great vacation property

This is a great place. Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and everything you need. The boat was great. The pool was small but provided a great place to cool off and great for my 7 year old grandson. The property managers were wonderful to work with.

Fun in the sun!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is set up perfectly for our 20 years olds to hang out in one living room while the adults hung out in the other one. The pool was refreshing after a day at the island. The boat is brand new and ran perfectly. There is plenty of room on the patio for entertaining, and they have all of the beach chairs and lounges that you'll want for the boat and the pool, including beach towels. We give everything a thumbs up!!!

Lots of deferred maintenance/cleaning

Outside and lack of "curb appeal" tells the story. Property desperately needs refurbishing and a good deep cleaning. Light bulbs out, broken faucet in kitchen, toilet does not flush well so the tank has instructions to "flush before you wipe, and flush before you wipe again, and use the fan!" However, there is no fan. Kitchen is not well equipped, appliances are old and need cleaning. Some drawers are unlined and had old crumbs in among the silverware and cooking utensils. There was one trash bag for the entire week, and one roll of paper towels. Carpet in second bedroom is very worn and badly stained. Recessed fan area in the kitchen is filthy, as are fan blades. There is an excellent library in the dining area. Patio area and pool are pleasant. Boat was in excellent working condition and we enjoyed it very much. Even with all the things that needed fixing, cleaning, and painting, we would probably stay there again because of the outside and boat. If you are used to sparkling cleaned and modern VRBO properties beautifully maintained, you will be disappointed. We have stayed in perhaps 20 VRBO properties over the years and have never seen a property like this. But, if you are flexible and tolerant and enjoy the outdoors and boating, you will have an enjoyable week anyway.

Terrific home

This home was very clean upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to grocery stores and many nice restaurants. Very nice paved patio, small pool but plenty big for adult relaxation. It was nice sitting on the patio watching the different boats using the main canal going to the gulf. Property Managers Roger and Lynn were terrific.

St. Joseph Sound and Anclote Key are full of opportunities for seeing all kinds of marine and bird life. Boating out to the North Sandbar is like going to a piece of the Bahamas.
