Yurt on a Beautiful Alpaca Ranch

Bedrooms 1
Space 450 sq. ft.
Property type cabin

About the property

Enjoy a unique experience by staying in our yurt on a quiet alpaca ranch.

Never been in a yurt? It is a tent-like circular fabric structure with a wood lattice frame. Our yurt has comfortable furnishings such as a queen bed with linens, a propane free standing stove, electric lighting, 32' flat screen HD tv, fully equipped kitchen (including oven, microwave, refrigerator, plates, pots, etc) and a bathroom with a shower. The floors are polished pine wood with french doors that open to a deck with meadow and forested views.

Leave your worries at home as this is a place to come and unwind (cell service is spotty in this area, generally at&t works). Stroll through the meadow to greet our alpacas and have a picinic next to the creek.

Near hiking, lakes, restaurants, quaint downtown, and historic gold mines.

This yurt is non-smoking.

Cozy getaway

  • 5 of 5

This lovely and comfortable space had all that we needed for our weekend stay. Everything was tastefully decorated and immaculate. Jeanette was a welcoming and friendly hostess, but we had complete privacy. The surrounding area is even more beautiful than in the photos. I would definitely return for another visit!

Yurt adventure

  • 5 of 5

We loved our adventure. The Yurt was comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped and convenient for us. The host and hostess could not have been nicer. They helped us with an unexpected concern, provided coffee, cream and an apple cobbler. The alpacas were an added treat especially for our grandchildren. We have stayed twice now and will again for sure.

A great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful weekend in this great place: very quiet, remote, with nice and friendly hosts (and alpacas).

Cozy and Personal!

  • 5 of 5

Jeanette was an incredible hostess. She greeted us by hugging us and immediately made us feel at home. She even made us strawberry cheesecake! She checked in and helped us with any questions she may have but allowed my friend and I as much privacy as we wanted. The alpacas were a joy to play with (although beware their sneezes!) and the swimming holes nearby were incredibly fun. The yurt was comfortable and cozy -- it was everything we needed!

The Hurt was grand, we had such a good time.

  • 5 of 5

Jeanette was such a gracious hostess. Made us feel welcomed and cared for. Her dog 'Corky' was a welcome guest each morning ,he was so happy maybe it was the dog biscuits! Jeanette worked with us when we had a family picnic on the lawn by the Alpaca fenced area. She and Micheal set up the picnic table shrouded with a beautiful tablecloth. My wife and I will consider staying at this place next time we book a trip to Grass Valley. Thank-you so much for the great service.

Oh what fun!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our short stay in this sweet and beautifully decorated yurt! What an ADORABLE place it is. Very secluded and quiet. The yurt looks exactly like the pictures - but actually better! It was very clean, felt like a house, but it also felt a little like being outdoors too, because of having soft walls, we could hear crickets and outdoor noises at night. We saw the alpacas in their pasture when we checked-in, but unfortunately missed them up-close because it was very hot at the time we actually went outside to be with them. (They were off in a further pasture under trees in the shade.) I definitely will want to do that differently next time, as they are adorable creatures! Definitely recommend staying here, and many thanks to Jeanette for making us feel so welcome and at home!
