KIVA ROOM Tranquility

Cozy, comfortable, well equipped studio room in quiet neighborhood conveniently located to Nevada City and Grass Valley. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Close to hiking trails, Yuba River, and the bustling and quaint Nevada City.

Lovely, serene, cozy

We loved everything about the Kiva room. It is just the right amount of cute, cozy and fun. We felt so peaceful in the location. Osher was lovely and gracious. We will definitely be back.

Weekend getaway

Room was extremely cute, clean, and quiet. Access was easy, and location made it easy and quick to get to Grass Valley, or Nevada City. Host made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall the stay was excellent!

Kiva Room is a true gem.

Incredibly peaceful, what a great place to rest while in town visiting family. Osher went out of her way to be both accommodating and respectful of our privacy. The creature comforts provided were spot on too. Thank you!

Lovely and comfortable

The Kiva Room was fantastic. It was spacious yet feels cozy. It’s incredibly well appointed, and much care has gone into the details. The couple of things I forgot to bring - vitamin C booster and fresh fruit - were stocked, along with myriad other thoughtful touches. The bedding was soft and there were plentiful pillows to suit a variety of sleeping styles. We would definitely stay here again.

Get your “Zen” on!

Just walking up to the Kiva rm there was a very nice vibe, going in even better, so pleasant & comfortable, everything available that you can possibly need, eco friendly, clean, bohemian style and just so peaceful. My eyes were very attracted to the beautiful quilt that really made the room stand out. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Spacious retreat in the trees

More spacious than the photos give credit for, this was the perfect retreat from city living at a reasonable cost. There are lots of thoughtful details throughout that made me feel well taken care of and ready to relax. Care has also gone into making the space colourfully and authentically on theme with the Nervada City vibe. We slept well, had more than enough room for two people, and enjoyed being able to walk into town (about 25 mjns) along the forested streets. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Escape in the Woods

We loved the Kiva Room! Osher sent us great info ahead of time, responded quickly when we asked a question, left nice touches like fresh herbs and drinking water. And the record player with vintage records was a treat! The space is large for a studio, super clean and very comfortable. It has everything you could ever need. If you’re concerned about the compost toilet, don’t be! It was easy and not much different from a typical toilet on the user-end. We had a perfect quiet, couple’s escape. Thank you, Osher! We’ll be back!

What a beautiful setting, comfortable spacious studio and thoughtful host! I will definitely stay here again. All this beauty and comfort and very close to town. You wouldn't know it as it is very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely forested getaway

Our stay at the Kiva room was homey and wonderful. Given the inclement weather, we spent almost all our time indoors. But, given the gorgeous surroundings and incredible vinyl collection, it was just fine by us! I’d come back in a heartbeat! Thanks so much, Osher! Best, Ellen Cohen

Wonderful hippie hideout

This place was wonderful and exactly what we needed for our weekend away. We love the location and the aesthetic. Though it was not our intent when we booked, but this place was decorated similarly to our own home. So we felt right at home. Thank you to the hosts for making everything easy for us.

Peace in the Mountains!

In the area for a family reunion. Decided to add a few days to enjoy the area. Property was the perfect place to stay. Welcoming environment and perfect size. Very well organized and accommodating. We would utilize this property again.

Great Getaway for Peace and Quiet!

I cannot say enough good things about this host and property. Located in a quiet community and easy to get to. I opened the door and instantly felt at home. Very peaceful and cozy. Had everything I needed in the kitchen. The bed was so comfortable with lots of pillows. Super clean as well. The host, Osher, was very attentive and accommodating. Checked in to make sure all was well. I will definitely be going back when I need to get out of the city.
