It was fine. It's just a bit too close to the main road so traffic noise was louder than expected. That's sometimes hard to tell from the listing but if you like to walk to places it's close to restaurants and stores. It's also a short drive to the beach.

This was a wonderful home to stay in last minute, right in the heart of Shem Creek. AC units worked great to keep the home cool during a heatwave! The hot tub was very clean, and was even cleaned and serviced during our stay with zero disruption. I appreciate the hosts offering early check-in as well. All amenities needed were provided and we enjoyed having the bright, cozy space to relax while visiting friends. Would definitely recommend!

Home is wonderful and cozy! Exactly as described. Mostly quiet BUT theee are two home being built right beside this rental currently and they started work quite early every morning of our stay. One morning at 6:15am! Obviously not the home owners problem but be prepared for early noises and noises throughout the day as they work on two homes right beside rental. Very lovely stay other than that. Home comes with started for your time there as well as an array of spices and a few staples. Would stay at again and highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay fairly well at this property, but also had some disappointments. The positives were that the location was very convenient to get all the places we needed to go, and the host was pretty responsive, for the most part.A big down side was the hot tub. It was not the regular hot tub pictured in the listing but was a somewhat cheap inflatable hot tub that we had some heating issues with. Another thing is that the kitchen is not very well stocked if you plan to do much cooking, but we were able to get by okay with only cooking very simple things.
