À propos de cet hébergement
Dream River Cabin -- Riverfront
Wake up to the sights and sounds of the majestic McKenzie River—This riverfront cozy cabin is tucked away in a peaceful, private setting surrounded by lush old growth forest and flowing water. Whether you're here to unwind or adventure, this is your perfect base camp. The spacious layout accommodates larger groups while still feeling cozy for couples. Explore hiking trails, biking, rafting, and golf, eateries—all just minutes away. Enjoy fishing right in front of the house.
Take the long and winding drive slowly as you admire the towering trees. The driveway is a shared access to the Fern Grotto campsite on the upper half of the property, then the drive drops down into your private oasis.
The cabin is the perfect private get-away. The sun-drenched riverfront deck is wonderful for slow mornings or golden hour glasses of wine to invibe in the peaceful rhythm of the Mckenzie. Enjoy the flat and easy entrances to the water's edge to dip your toes in, watch boats roll by, or throw a fishing line in. Lounge riverside at KiKi’s beach, a large sand box for littles to play, while the adults post up Hawaii style.
Inside the cabin, enjoy the craftsmanship of an all wood cabin build in the 70-‘s. The glass wall help you enjoy nature without stepping outside. The two fireplaces invite you to relax and get cozy after an outdoor day. Enjoy strolls around the property on the hidden and shared trails of the 1.5 acres of old growth forest. Sometimes the best adventures is not having to adventure anywhere but your deck!
The Space
The first master suite has a king bed and is attached to a full bathroom. The second master suite has a king bed, two twin beds, and an attached full bathroom. The upstairs loft has two queen beds, that overlook the living room. There is a central half bath located on ground floor. Every room has exceptional views of the river, including the loft. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen that opens to the living room and dining room with large views of the river.
Please note, the upstairs loft is not suitable for littles who can't follow directions or anyone unsteady on their feet. The loft railing can't be played on. There is no railing on the staircase. Please plan on only older children, who can be trusted with verbal direction upstairs. Additionally, the loft is not suitable for anyone who needs a rail to climb stairs.
The cabin is kid-friendly, even if it’s not obvious at first glance! There’s a Pack ’n Play, high chair, kid toys, and a baby gates (to block off the stairs and fireplace) all tucked away in the closet. A bassinet can be provided if requested.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, blender, dishes, spices, teas, and, condiments. The majority of the pans are stainless steal and cast iron. There are some Teflon pans for the die hards. Metal and plastic cooking utensils will be found. Enjoy the propane grill for cooking with a riverfront view. And take time to relax at the propane fire table on the deck.
Propane grill- please clean after use. We provide the first tank of propane. More propane can be purchased at Blue Sky Market.
Maps of the area are located on the wall- please feel free to pull down. Or hand maps are in the drawer next to the house manual.
Parking
-There is parking in front of the cabin, that can fit 4 cars comfortably. There can be up to 6 cars, but the 5th and 6th car make it difficult to turn around and might require reversing out of the driveway or a 10 point turnaround.
-Please reach out if you plan to have a trailer/boat to discuss options- the drive way is long and turn arounds are not always available.
-No RV's- only class B's allowed- these must be approved and there is a nightly fee associated.
-please reach out if you plan to have more than 5 cars.
Extra Amenities
Two Bote paddle boards and life jackets can be rented and dropped off for your stay to enjoy at the lakes and reservoir. (These are not safe for the river). We rent them for 50$ each for your entire stay.
Have a lot of beer drinking guest? We also rent a 110L Yeti for extra drinks space for your stay. It rents for 50$ for your entire stay.
Things to note:
- Please make sure your reservation has the correct number of guests. It helps us prepare the house properly for group.
-After the 4th guest, there is an additional fee for each guest- please be accurate with amount of guests on your reservation. We do have camera access to confirm guest occupancy.
-No pets or dogs allowed. Unauthorized dogs on the property will be charged a 500$ cleaning fee and asked to leave immediately. We do have cameras to ensure compliance.
- Guests not listed on the reservation are not allowed on the property. No parties or events.
-We kindly ask no outside fires- There is a fire ban from May-September.
-A large stack of firewood and fire starter is provided. If you do run out, more can be purchased at Blue Sky Market (2 minute drive away).
-The first half of the driveway is a shared access, but this doesn't not impede on guest experience and privacy.
-This is a rural area, so sometimes there are power outages and downed internet.
-HVAC/mini splits were installed Dec 2025- summer should be nice and cool this year!
-There are several pillow types around the house- soft/med/hard, so please look around the beds and closet.
-There is a leaf and extra chairs for larger groups for the dinner table.
-Please be gracious to our old septic system- only toilet paper in the toilets and no food down the drain! Otherwise expensive repairs are required.
-Although we love pets, we are not a pet friendly rental- we have all wood doors and wood floors that are scratched easily by our furry friends.
-The deck has two seasonal layouts:
-dry season (Memorial day-labor day) setup with umbrellas, an outdoor rug, and a more centered couch arrangement, as shown in the photos.
-wet season (after labor day/before memorial day) setup with the furniture placed under the house awning to protect it from the rain. The deck may not look exactly like the listing photos, but all furniture remains available, accessible, and dry.
