We loved our stay in this beautiful little cabin. We have stayed in several of the other ones on the same property and this one is by far the best appointed and most cozy. We will be back!
We had a girls weekend with college roommates. Lots of hiking nearby, but the best was coffee in the morning on the screened porch, listening to the river. Loved this house!
The cabin was wonderful, cozy, and relaxing. The instructions around the house, were easy to follow, a wonderful binder with wildlife safety tucked into the corner pockets, a bio of the hosts and much more. The kitchen stocked with all utensils possible for cooking. I really enjoyed that the hosts were only a message away and replied promptly. Cozy Pendleton blankets everywhere, which are my favorite. Perfect sound of the river coming through the windows and gas fireplace to help warm and relax you. Will definitely stay again.

Thank you, Heather, for such a wonderful review, and for joining us at the McKenzie Hideaway. We hope to host you and your crew again sometime in the near future!
It was wonderful. The style of the cabin is impeccable. One thing I have sciatic and would have liked some kind of rail. That said we will definitely be back. Thanks
We found the property incredibly clean and well furnished. It is airy and full of light. The screened in porch is a huge perk for lounging or taking your first cup of coffee of the day. Who am I kidding….there isn’t a time of day that wouldn’t be amazing on the porch. The orientation of the home on the lot, gives wonderful views of the river from most any window. The kitchen is very well equipped for making all of your meals at home. Perhaps dining on the porch? We visited the area with our young adult kids. It was ideal for our purposes. I would imagine that younger children would find the large common grass area a joy. There are trees all along the river bank that add to the feel. The river itself is just seconds away from the back door. The host is a great communicator. He is quick with answers and suggestions. So quick that I picture him staring at his phone all day. There are some very accessible waterfall trails, along with Clear Lake and its recreational options nearby. Or, you could simply enjoy that porch all day.We will, without a doubt stay here again.
Mike and Aidan have created a clean, cozy, aesthetically pleasing and functional living space in an enchanting environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit as we celebrated 61 years of marriage.
