Cute perfect place for a couple!

  • 4 of 5

Since we were only in town for grandsons graduation from the Marine Corps, we spent very little time in the cottage. However, it was a perfect little place!! Very clean and appeared to have any kind of item you might need for the kitchen, cleaning, etc. The only thing we thought as suggestions would be a door on the bedroom. We had one other adult with us who slept on the sofa so we didn't have a problem with it, but people might want to know in advance if they travel with another couple who would sleep in the living room. The other adult was my adult son and he choose not to open the sofa bed and just sleep on the sofa. Therefore we found no other extra blankets or pillows so we gave him the quilt from our bed and he used the sofa pillows. So we were all fine, and it was not really a big deal. The other thing is there is not a closet. We did realize there was a rack with a couple hooks in the hallway, but not a closet to hang things on hangers. However at least there was an ironing board and iron for use to iron clothes that we were not able to hang up. Because there was little time we decided not to use the outdoor grill, but the side porch was not to inviting. Looks worn, and the table and chairs were not clean or inviting to want to sit out there. The front porch on the other hand was GREAT to sit on for about an hour or so of free time that we had. Overall I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a sweet little place to stay in Beaufort.

Perfect for two!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for two people. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and blankets. Central AC rather than a wall or window unit was such a pleasant surprise. We cooked each night in the fully equipped kitchen. We loved sitting on the front porch rocking chairs. The porch has a great view and breeze from the bay. Great price too! Nadine made sure she was available if we needed something but was completely unobtrusive. We hope to rent the cottage again.

Clean, cozy, and comfortable cottage in an historic and beautiful town

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cottage over the third week in March and really enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and easy 10 minute walk to the center of town, historic district, water-front and shops. We brought bicycles and cycled about 90 miles around the area; visited Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head for day trips. The weather was unseasonably cold, but warm weather before we came brought beautiful spring flowers all around the town. Hunting Island State Park was closed because of hurricane damage which was disappointing, but we still were able to have a wonderful vacation and 5 night stay at this wonderful rental cottage.

A Darling Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Beaufort, with special thanks to Nadine and being able to accommodate our several change of plans.

The only downside is the very small shower and bathroom, the house was perfect. Very neat and clean, with all the "kitchen" stuff you might need. The location was great, just 2 short blocks to the bay, great sunsets.

Beaufort is one of our favorites, and staying here made it more special.
