About Dan Trujillo

Retired 'Papa' and Grandma of six kids and ten grand-kids. Papa is a retired Denver Public Schools administrator and Grandma is a systems support specialist with the Postal Service. All our kids virtually grew up spending their summers in Lake City living in this home and have gone on to successful careers in Colorado and each still gets to the cabin several times a year. My new grand-daughters sitting in front of the fireplace giggling make it all worth while. Many happy memories of all seasons for our family at this wonderful home away from home. I hope you'll leave with family memories of your own.

Dan Trujillo purchased this cabin in 1979

Best Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

We loved Bear Bungalow! The front porch has THE BEST view, so relaxing. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We hope we get to come back! We loved walking down to the bakery and even into town. The location is great.

It was nice to have a big TV to watch movies at night and a large table to play games.

Thanks for a great stay Dan!

Beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin now with a larger deck to enjoy the views or to just sit and enjoy all the wild life walking by. This cabin will be the only place I stay when I go to Lake City.

Perfect rental for Lake City, CO

  • 5 of 5

The cabin exceeded our expectations! It is updated, comfortable and so close to Lake City with beautiful views of the mountains. It was in a very quiet neighborhood and you barely notice anybody around except for the amusing marmot family and deer wandering by. This was our first time to Lake City with our extended family. Diane, the property manager checked in to make sure everything was good for us. We enjoyed the area so much and we were able to extend our stay an extra day. We hope to return to Bear Bungalow and Lake City again someday!

Great place to stay. Lots of throws for those cool evenings. Kitchen very well stocked. Wildlife life was abundant and fun to watch. Rating would be a 5 if there were a downstairs bedroom.
