About the host
Hosted by Taylor
Hi, I’m Taylor—your host and the founder of StayStoat, a short-term rental company in Steamboat Springs. I love to travel, ski, lift weights, and play volleyball. After staying in tons of rentals, I started StayStoat to create the kind of thoughtful, high-quality stays I appreciate as a guest. I’m always happy to share local tips to make your trip extra memorable. Looking forward to hosting you!
Why they chose this property
I love this neighborhood because it's the heart of Steamboat Springs—walkable, scenic, and full of local character. This neighborhood gives you the feeling of actually living in Steamboat, not just visiting it. You can stroll to coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, and Old Town Hot Springs in just a few minutes, and the free ski shuttles are close enough that you don’t need to drive to the mountain if you don’t want to.
What we enjoy most is the mix of quiet residential streets and convenient downtown access. In the early morning you’ll see neighbors walking their dogs, mountain views peeking between historic homes, and the sun coming over Howelsen Hill. In the evenings, it’s peaceful—crickets, soft mountain air, and the glow of downtown lights just a short walk away.
Old Town is also full of year-round locals, which gives the area a friendly, welcoming feel. People say hello, kids ride bikes, and community events happen right down the street. It’s a place where you can park the car and truly settle in—walk everywhere, relax in the hot tub afterward, and feel connected to the best parts of Steamboat.

What makes this property unique
Our home offers a rare mix for Old Town: a walkable downtown location, plenty of space for families and groups, and a private backyard hot tub. With two living rooms, two king bedrooms, and a full arcade/foosball room, guests have room to unwind and have fun.
We’ve also added thoughtful touches throughout—blackout shades, quality mattresses, a well-equipped kitchen, and a dedicated workspace—so the home feels comfortable, modern, and easy to settle into. Combined with responsive local management, the property offers a level of convenience and care that stands out in Steamboat.
