Tucked away in the peaceful mountains of South Carolina, our charming two-bedroom, one-bath cabin offers the perfect getaway on the shores of Lake Becky. This serene lake is ideal for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding — and we provide both so you can explore at your leisure.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of nature, sip your coffee on the porch with breathtaking lake views, and spend your days paddling across the calm waters or simply relaxing by the shore. The cabin blends rustic charm with modern comforts, creating a warm and inviting retreat for couples, families, or friends.

While the property feels wonderfully secluded, you’re only 5 miles from town and close to some of the area’s best attractions, including Issaqueena Falls, Stumphouse Tunnel, and the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River.

Whether you’re seeking quiet mornings by the water, adventurous afternoons in the mountains, or cozy evenings under a sky full of stars, this Lake Becky cabin is your perfect home base.

🐶DOG POLICY🐶:
-Maximum of 2 dogs allowed ($75 pet fee/dog)
-We love welcoming furry friends! Please be sure to clean up after your pet each time they use the yard.
-Potty pads are not permitted inside the home; all pets must be fully house-trained and taken outdoors for bathroom breaks.

-We happily welcome dogs! However, all dogs must be disclosed and added during the booking process. Failure to disclose or add your dog(s) before booking may result in an additional $100 undisclosed pet fee, in addition to the standard pet fee.

We had the best time here just relaxing and fishing. Perfect getaway! Thank you so much for this amazing weekend at your home. All I can say is you need more ice trays but everything else was perfect!

Very serene and relaxing setting . The house was clean and although we didn’t cook the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and accessories. The outdoor area with a wonderful view of the lake was a bonus. Great location for fishermen. Will stay again!

The reason this guest left a terrible review is because they chose to leave a day early and wanted that day refunded. Unfortunately due to the condition that the home was left in, I chose not to refund them for the day. Had the home been left in reasonable condition I would’ve happily refunded as I’m an extremely laid back and understanding host.

The cabin had everything needed for the stay and I was very pleased! The temperatures got a little lower than expected and the host anticipated this and left out an additional heater just in case but the unit was perfect regardless. The dock was perfect and peaceful, would definitely book here again if coming back to the area. Great location overall. Cabin was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend! And the host reached out before the stay, left a note inside and really made me feel welcome!

The backdoor glass was broken and taped back together. The back windows didnt seal. We had to put a beach towel over the windows to help keep the house cool which it struggled. The ac was not adequate for the space. There was mold in the ceiling around the fireplace. The house was warm our whole stay and never cool. They also didnt disclose a doorbell camera which is a violation of privacy according to vrbos policy. I put I had a pet and checked out and it appeared but was charged later for it which I paid and resolved.

This negative review is a retaliatory review over the guest trying to get a refund through VRBO after he left due to the pet fee/ring doorbell situation. VRBO sided with me that a doorbell camera is not against any privacy rules. The first review they tried to leave was taken down due to it not meeting VRBO guidelines because they proved it was out of retaliation for not refunding them after their stay. The home is only 600 sq. feet and is cooled adequately, my family stays there frequently. There is a small crack in the back glass door that is taped but doesn’t affect use/looks. There is not mold on the ceiling- the ceiling is a wood tongue and groove and we had a leak next to the fireplace months ago (that was fixed immediately) and the wood is just darker from the water stain. I checked in with the guest 24 hours after check-in and none of these “issues” were brought up to me. We’ve always maintained 9.2-9.5 and 4.8-4.9 rating on all flatforms with dozens of reviews. If you’re looking to book with us, please consider reading all reviews and taking the very few bad ones with a grain of salt.

I enjoyed staying at this property! Very quiet neighborhood. The home was clean! Beds were very comfortable! I’m going to miss drinking my morning coffee by the lake. We traveled from Florida for the fall foliage and to drive the Georgia Traverse trail which starts not too far from the home. We also visited Stumphouse Tunnel and the falls which is a short drive away. I would stay again!

It was pet friendly but it wasn’t what I expected. Have stayed at other places in mountain Rest and was highly impressed, but this is more like an old fishing place. No closets for your clothes. Windows were nasty, couldn’t open. Fireplace didn’t work. Some remotes didn’t have batteries. Had to climb on bed to turn ceiling fan on. Never did get volume up on tv. Will not stay there again. Rachel very nice though. Enjoyed sitting on dock.

Private setting on a small lake that was very peaceful. It has kayaks, a canoe, deck on the water, gas grill and fire pit for use. Comfortable furnishings with a stocked kitchen for preparing meals. Rachel was very nice to communicate with.

We had a really lovely time at the cabin for our wedding anniversary. Just a two day visit and it was just what we were looking for. Rachel was the most gracious hostess and we hope to be back again soon.

I am from the small town of Starr, SC! I grew up on a 40 acre farm and had a wonderful childhood. I met my (now) husband while I was in college, we moved to Walhalla and have been here 8 years. We absolutely adore living here. We have 3 children who I’ve been blessed to be home with but now that they’re getting older, I have really enjoyed getting into real estate, hosting/managing rental properties, and hospitality as a whole. Traveling is a huge passion of mine so being able to help other people travel somewhere that I truly love is so much fun and very fulfilling.

Why they chose this property

Walhalla has the most beautiful mountains, hiking trails, wonderful family-owned restaurants, and so much more, Lake Becky is just a quick 10 mile drive down the mountain to Walhalla so it’s truly the best of both worlds. Lake Becky/Mountain Rest area is also wonderfully centrally located to Cashiers and Highlands NC as well. What more could you ask for?!

What makes this property unique

Our lake Becky cabin is such a fun little property. The large dock with steps leading out into the water, the fire pit, deck, AND screened in porch are so inviting and relaxing. You could sit outside all day and just enjoy the views. But inside, you’ve got a comfortable and cozy space to relax in too. Just like the location of our property, the property itself is also the best of both worlds.
