I live in Atlanta with my wife, 2 children, and pooch. This is a home we maintain for the family.
The Owner purchased this house in 2002
This home was built by my father, brothers, and me in 2002 for my parents who have been visiting the area since their honeymoon in 1957. My mother had vacationed in Clayton since 1940 and our whole family has such amazing memories of this area. Now the house has passed along to us and we would like to share the beauty and tranquility of North Georgia with others. Please enjoy our little cottage and make amazing memories of your own.
This home is everything the listing says it is and more. No detail was left unattended. The view from the rockers on the porch is fabulous. The living spaces - all of them - are very comfortable and extremely well-maintained. The house is close to town but does not feel like it. We wanted to move in! Greg was fantastic to work with, very responsive to inquiries. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go again. So happy to have found this place.
We went to Tallulah Falls for Martin Luther Kind Jr. Day and we stayed at this lovely cabine. Recommended 100%
We enjoyed our weekend. The view from the front porch was great! The cabin was just as advertised. We are looking at using this place again.
My husband and I came up to Clayton for our anniversary/babymoon. The cabin exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back. We enjoyed the secluded feeling although it was close to town which my husband really appreciated when I sent him on a late night Tums run! :) The only issue we had was me crawling into the tall bed during my many bathroom breaks at night but for anyone that’s not 8 months pregnant...this wouldn’t be an issue. Haha Thank you for opening up your gorgeous cabin to us!
The house is nicely done and very comfortable. Tallulah Gorge, the Chatooga River and many good hikes are all within 15 minutes to a half hour drive. The view from the porch of the cabin is fantastic. Pinnacle Knob is right in front. We hiked up it. You do have to drive a mile or two to get to the trail parking. A great description of the hike is available at HikingtheAppalacians-Dot com. It is titled: Chattahoochee National Forest: Pinnacle Knob via Courthouse Gap Trail, Clayton, Georgia. Hurricane Irma had passed through a couple weeks earlier, so we had to go over under or around several fallen trees, but it's not a big deal. The view from the top is worth it.
Evacuated from hurricane Irma and had an amazing time in Clayton. Greg was AWESOME! Me and my family will be back
