Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8+)
She Creek Cabin is located on five acres bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest. There is more than 800-foot of private creek frontage with a large fire pit located on the banks. Another fire pit awaits you just outside the back door of your cabin.
Made entirely of wood culled from the property, the cabin was built with mountain relaxation in mind. Your vacation home sits on a hill, is completely surrounded by woods and has a spectacular view. From the 200-foot wrap around porch, you can use the binoculars supplied for you to watch the deer grazing in your yard. The occasional bear may stop by to see what you're up to and enjoy some of the salt block and oats put out for them. Watch wild turkey strut their stuff in the yard and humming birds enjoy nectar from the feeders just inches away from you on the porch. A family of owls lives in a tree on the property and a family of Hawks also live nearby. You'll definitely want to bring your camera.
When you arrive, you'll probably find a jar of homemade blackberry jelly on the kitchen counter. This jelly was made from berries picked on the property. If you're lucky enough to be here during July, we recommend you bring berry buckets for picking.
The cabin has been furnished with many ammenities. It has a new high-efficiency washer and dryer and a high-definition, large-screen television with more than 150 channels delivered via satellite. Some movies and games are supplied for the dvd player. For a nice, quiet evening, enjoy some of the board games or jigsaw puzzles. Because cell service in the mountains can be sketchy at best, we have included free long distance calling from the land line.
If hiking is what you're coming to the mountains for, we have a variety of books and maps that will show you how to find nearby waterfalls and hiking trails.
She Creek Cabin is located just three miles from whitewater rafting on the Wild & Scenic Chattooga River, where the movie 'Deliverance' was filmed. We are also just three miles from Kingwood golf resort. Less than an hour's ride from Alpine Village in Helen, Ga, we are the perfect location for your next vacation.

About Barbara Westbrook
The Westbrook's are a family of whitewater rafters and nature enthusiasts. This photo was taken during one of our yearly family reunions hosted at our cabin in the mountains.
Why Barbara Westbrook chose Clayton
We actually bought this cabin in order to halt development on the cabin's five acres of land.
What makes this Cabin unique
During our family reunion we will have 50 or more people show up at the cabin for cookouts and fun around the fire. We spend the week rafting on Sections III and IV of the Chattooga River and we funyak and swim on the easier sections of the river. We also spend a lot of time hiking, shopping in the nearby antique villages and towns, and some days we simply play at the cabin having fun in the creek.

Nice retreat and cabin. You want see a sole if that is your intention and if you want to do things, Clayton is just down the road. Very nice downtown. If we are in the area again, we would stay again
Only 2 recommendations.....not complaints
-Mark the main drive entrance off of Woods Road better
- Put a hammock on the back porch :)
Enjoyed the stay Barbra
Loved this place. Set up was on point. Owner was very responsive to calls and emails.
Great Cabin, Close to Clayton
We stayed at She Creek Cabin on Easter weekend 2018. The cabin has three nice size bedrooms with large closets, 2 full baths, an open kitchen/dining area, a large den and ample outdoor deck/patio space. Upstairs there were two bedrooms with a full bath in between, kitchen/dining area and access to a wrap around deck a portion of the deck is screened. The master is on the bottom floor with a full bath with a stand up shower. The 1st floor also has a large den and TV Room. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the large deck in the rear of the cabin. There is a picnic table overlooking the property with a great view. From the deck you can also listen to the sound of the waterfall at the creek just down the hill. The cabin is near other homes, but very private. We also enjoyed sitting around the large fire pit in the evening. While the cabin feels secluded its only a short drive into Clayton for supplies and groceries. It was a short weekend trip for us, so we visited Tallulah Gorge, Downtown Clayton, Sky Valley, GA and Mud Creek Falls. We were able to find plenty of choices for half day hikes with our dogs nearby then return to the cabin to relax in the evening. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the Clayton area.
Great home for a family!
Shea Creek Cabin
We enjoyed our stay very much! It was great to take our dog and the beds were comfortable. It had everything we needed!
This property was perfect for a family get away. It was clean and comfy and nestled in the woods.
Our family loved this property. It was a quick trip for us just to get away from the norm. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with good pots and pans (one of my pet peeves). The beds were nice. The porches were awesome! The one off from the kitchen is completely screened in and we had our meals out there every time. Loved it! The yard was well maintained and the view from the back is beautiful. Loved the fire pit. We could hear the creek but didn't make it down the hill to explore. Barbara was pleasant to work with. We would definitely stay there again. There is so much to explore. The only thing I could mention that would be helpful to someone booking this cabin is that it only sleeps 6 comfortably. It does have a sofa sleeper but it's not very comfy. Don't let that discourage you though. There is plenty of room for a couple of air matresses.
