Expansive decks offer you a chance to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. Be sure to bring your fishing gear as there are plenty of fish to be caught just off your deck.

A cozy get away for a week-end or a week relaxing in upstate SC. This two bedroom one bath home sleeps 6 in a newly updated cabin beside the lake. Enjoy all the comforts of home while taking in the quiet beauty of the natural surroundings.

Our gift to each other

We loved the cabin. It was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the dock. Next time we come will have to be in warmer weather so that we can swim. Would definitely stay there again. Mountain Rest and Oconee County is a beautiful area and very friendly people.

gorgeous views of the lake

we went to celebrate our son's birthday. no fish was caught (he is 8 now, he really hoped to catch one), but beautiful memories were made. the house is made for relaxation. cushy furniture that hugs you, lots of fishing related decor. we had a good time. saw waterfalls, went on hikes..we live in south florida, so it wasa change of scenery and weloved it.

Perfect Spot to Relax

This property is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Beautiful Sunsets over the water every night added to the ambiance. Clean Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook. Plenty of water craft "toys" to enjoy the lake! Property manager "owners" were very responsive!

Gorgeous view-tranquil and cozy!

Four nights in July We absolutely loved everything about this super comfortable cabin! Canā€™t beat the view both from indoors and off all decks and the new lake dock. The queen beds were clean and comfortable - the new large shower was awesome! We fished, went swimming, enjoyed the kayaks and canoe several times each day. Itā€™s also nice to walk the roads around the lake. We drove to a few nearby scenic spots and visited the fish hatchery and also the Stumphouse tunnel. We literally spent most of our time at the cabin! (We cooked very simple meals using the bbq grill, stove and microwave). It really is the Best view on Mountain Rest Lake. We hope to return soon!! The Hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful with things to do in the area. We had no issues with anything. There is a notebook on the table with all kinds of notes and brochures around the area. We highly recommend!

Great, quiet getaway

Very nice place in a quiet area, felt like home. Lots of blowups to enjoy the water and kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. I think the grandkids and pappy used them all except the paddle boat.

Mt. Rest Lake Getaway

Awesome place!! View is amazing. House was clean and very well decorated. We had a great time and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Itā€™s not far from Clayton or Cashiers so we went for some good eats. We will definitely stay there again in the future!!

Peaceful. Quiet. Escape

Beautiful windows to display the lake. The weather was too cold to hang on the deck (30 minutes max in sunlight). Walking was brisk and brief. Neighbors friendly.(wave or talk). Parking for one vehicle. Decline to cabin could be a challenge for elderly ppl w cane access. Accommodations were nice. Apartment stove and frig size. Dishes and utensils were there. One frying pan which we used for everything!! Bathroom upgrade to shower. Lots of toiletries. Tv was lots of football and old westerns. We had seen a lot of waterfalls but tried again. Some were open on Thanksgiving day. Walhalla was nice to walk the street about ten minutes away. Lots of blankets to sit with. Great place to unwind! Thank you.

Weekend Getaway

My daughter and I stayed forca weekend and really enjoyed the cabin. It had everything we needed including comfortable beds. The view of the lake ftom the cabin was excellent and the surrounding woods were beautiful. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and overcast so we werent able to enjoy the outside aminities but still had a good time. Be prepared for a littke bit of a cramped parking spot but it was really not too big a deal. The smoke detector goes off when the oven is used but we got used to it so it was no big deal either. Overall its a very nice place and convenient to alot of things to do. We went to the Walhalla Preforming Arts Center and saw a good concert. Its kind of a hidden gym. Check it out. And BTW the owners are very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions or concerns.
