Newly Renovated Stone Farmhouse on 15 Acres Between New Paltz and High Falls
Why Bob Montalvo chose Town of Marbletown
We fell in love with the High Falls area when our daughter chose it for her wedding in 2008. Having a stone farm house surrounded by the natural beauty of this area of the Hudson River Valley is a dream come true for us and is a homecoming of sorts for Susan who grew up in Poughkeepsie. We are only the fifth family to own the home and are honored to be part of its incredible 217 year history. Our primary residence is in Sonoma County, California where we grow wine grapes and produce wine under our own label.

This is a wonderful house in a great location. Spacious, great layout, comfortable beds. Property manager was responsive and attentive. We would definitely ten the house again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at this property. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, beautifully appointed house. Couldn't ask for better. Well be back next year!!

Lovely Family Getaway
Our family of four and two grandparents spent a lovely few days enjoying this property. The decor, cleanliness, backyard, treehouse and easy access to trail hikes made for a wonderful and adventure filled stay. The mountain air and access to the Monhonk Preserve gives the property a unique feel. Definitely recommed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay!
Upstate New York beauty and comfort.
Walking into this home is like walking into the home of a beloved friend who is sharing their lovely surroundings with family. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The wood floors are well taken care of, immaculate, and a delight to walk barefoot on. And the beds were warm, cozy, and comfy. Gathering with family and friends was lovely in the well designed kitchen where we enjoyed a game night and three delightful meals.
The surrounding grounds were beautiful and it was calming to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee in the warm morning light. The tree house was a fun place for my little one to explore.
The history involving this house was fun to read and to share in a piece of its history by being guests here was special!
If you want to experience upstate New York then this is a great location. Its a bit of a drive to get into New York City, but being such pretty countryside I did not find it to be horrible. This area of New York state is SO beautiful!
The property manager was easy to work with and responsive to my questions. The fact he grew up in this region made him a wonderful resource too.
Our week in New York was warm and wonderful and the 1796 stone farmhouse played a large part in the success of our trip for our party of eight!
