Fenced in backyard and a Private Lakefront Pool. Surrounded by beautiful Bamboo Trees offering a Private driveway and parking next to the Cottage.
5 acres of Relaxing, Peaceful grounds.
Free Wifi. Beautiful Sun Rises and Sun Sets.
Built in bench on the dock to enjoy the Lake. Take a stroll over to the barn and visit with the horse and pet cow. Enjoy the wrap around decks that over look the grounds with Lush Bamboo trees just outside the Guest Cottage door. 6 Minutes to visit Lake Manatee State Park, 7 minutes to the races / Speedway, 15 minutes to the Lakewood Ranch Premier Sports Complex Public Golfing is nearby and much more....
25 minutes to Lakewood Ranch Main Street and all that it has to offer.
The property is Centrally located to see it all....
Nice drive to Siesta Key Village and Beach has been Voted one of the Best Beaches.
Anna Maria Island and Bradenton Beaches are voted best small towns and are a straight drive from the property.... with No road exchanges.

3 Guest Cottages on grounds.
Each offers Private Driveways with Private Entrances with plenty of room between. This Listed Guest Cottage is our water front cottage called "The Lakefront Cottage" with direct views of the lake. Includes a Private Lakefront Pool with a Large Lakefront Pool deck with Loungers Floats and BBQ.
Side Deck features a Dining table under the Bamboo trees.
This Cottage also features a Back Deck that over looks the Private fenced in yard for your little ones,traveling dog or to use at your leisure.
Relax in the Hammock under the Bamboo trees in the Private Garden. Great for couples or small families. Close to town and all the amenities in the area.

It was a beautiful property. Small but appropriate fenced area for our dog. Pool was nice. Host was friendly and available lf we needed her. We really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I, along with our dog had such a wonderful week here. The place was clean and comfortable and had everything we could need. Other than the birds, the huge fish splashes, the occasional winnie and moo, (which we loved!!)it was so quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed after a month of house hunting. The view from the house, back deck and dock of Manatee Lake was so relaxing. The pool was huge and sparkling clean! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. But the best part was Kristen! She was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back next year!

Wonderful vacation!

We stayed at Kristen’s for 4 weeks and it was wonderful! We actually were able to stay in her new 2 bedroom cottage that is on her property. The cottage had everything we needed to make it like home for us. It’s dog friendly and our 2 dogs loved it as well. The area is quiet and close enough to get to restaurants/shopping/golf but you don’t have to worry about typical Florida traffic. Kristen is a gracious host and made us feel right at home. Already booked a return trip for next year!

peaceful location

We had a 10 day stay for NMRA/NMCA races @ Bradenton Motorsports Park. Kristen was a lovely hostess, eager to make sure our needs were met. Grounds were well maintained an peaceful, as well as the "in-law suite". I have stayed at many properties over the years through here and other sites. It was nice that paper goods and spices were stocked for our use. There were also a couple other things left for use if needed as well, that past renters had left behind. Most often in my experience, the owner/cleaning crew clean it out with post rent cleaning. It would've been nice to know beforehand that the cottage were a duplex or in-law suite prior to renting, not just that the owner was on property. We do prefer a little more privacy. Again, nice place, grounds and wonderful hostess. Thanx for a pleasant stay and keep up the good work Kristen!

Thank you, for the nice review however, we would like to clarify that this is not a Duplex or in-law-suite.... It is a Private Cottage in which has its own Entrance and Private Driveway. The Cottage has a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchenette, Bathroom, Bedroom, Decks, Fenced in back yard for pets along with a playset for children. This Cottage is attached to the next Cottage separated by Sound Proof walls and the next Cottage also has a private Entrance along with a Private Driveway. You may See the owner on the grounds however, she does not stay in the same Cottage as guests and gives all guests privacy unless needed. As for food being left behind It was a couple cans of Vegetables in which we felt was not a terrible thing to leave for future Guests.... Thank you, for staying and we look forward to your return with the next racing season.

Beautiful, Peaceful location

Kristen’s property is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and our little dog enjoyed walking the grounds and visiting with the owner’s horse, Moose. We took advantage of the pool which had a fantastic view overlooking the grounds and water. We visited Venice and my brother in Sarasota. The owner is a wonderful lady with a fantastic personality. If we ever needed her, she was quick to respond.

Cute cottage off the beaten path. Beautiful site on lake manatee. Note this property is adjoined to the host property. This was not a problem but it was not clear when looking to book the cottage. We had a great stay.

Just as advertised, and other reviews. Nice, relaxing beautiful property, if you want away from the bustle, and don't mind a bit of a drive to beaches etc. ...this property is perfect. Communication was spot on, and just can't say enough about the property, quiet and peaceful.....highly recommend.

Perfect place for all occasions! getaway, solo trip, family, children, dogs!

This place is amazing! I was impressed with how well the host made this home fit for every type of getaway whether it is a solo trip, a vacation with family and friends, if you have kids or dogs, etc. She thought of everything someone may need during their stay to make them the most comfortable. Her thoughtfulness is evident in every detail of the cottage and around the property. The location is far enough to feel like you are on an island but only 10 mins from the city. The views from the property are gorgeous and comes with an enclosed yard for dogs and a playset for kids. This really is a perfect place to be!

This property is such a beautiful oasis! It is the absolute perfect place to get away as well as work! The place is even more beautiful in person! From the gorgeous grounds of luscious green grass, vibrant tropical flowers, shell walkways, heavenly trees framing the lake view perfectly, to the country cottage with its stunning view and a large pool with a deck to soothe the soul and relax, to inside the immaculate cozy cottage that is so inviting & tranquil. Not only is there so many places on the property to spend time in whichever capacity you would like (reading, relaxing, meditating, writing, etc) but I even had my own yard that my dogs absolutely loved and a playground for kids to play on! I also loved feeding snacks to Moose the horse and petting the lovable calf Precious. My words fall short on all of the incredible things to say about this enchanting place. I am so blessed I found it and I loved it so much I even extended my stay! Thank you Kristen for being so lovely and creating the absolute dreamscape as well as being so gracious & amazing :)

Great for dogs

Kristen, the host, is fabulous. This is a great place to travel with your dog(s). Close to Lakewood Ranch but far enough to feel out of all the hustle and bustle. We would’ve used the pool more but we had poor weather during most our visit.

Loved the location and the cottage. This was a great place for my little family. We were even able to see some wild life that we were not expecting. The owner was very nice as well. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful stay!

We had a wonderful but short stay at the lake. It was so peaceful And tranquil and I wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect space for pets also if well behaved. Our lab loved the property and my husband loved the fishing! We would definitely return when we can stay longer! Hostess was accessible and helpful! Great little gem!

Relaxing stay

The grounds of this property were beautiful with lots of area to roam. We loved being able to bring our dogs with us and they enjoyed the fenced yard. We were able to see the sights in Sarasota and Bradenton with ease. The week was wonderful. Thank you, Kristin.

Wedding and stay in cottage

The host was awesome and helpful for the wedding. We had a few miscommunications with pricing of the venue and even ended up having to reschedule our stay and wedding. Our host was very accommodating throughout the process. Will definitely bookagain.

Oliver, I am glad you liked my Help during your Wedding it was my Pleasure....I am also glad that you would like to stay again in the future. However, I am not sure about miscommunications other then the fact that some of the Bridal Party became ill just before your Wedding was to take place in 2020 along with Fireworks that were to be set off during the Holidays.... your wife and I were able to work together to find you another Date in March 2021. As we met and discussed the difference in price as your Wedding was now priced for a different time of year as to when you originally booked. I was glad to still Accommodate you with the ability to set Fireworks off during a non Holiday time frame as well. Sorry, you felt there was miscommunication as I tried very hard to be Clear and thought all was good as it appeared we were all on the same page when I asked you if you had any Concerns.... Congratulations! We will see you at your Next Booking....

Country Visit

Just what we were looking for! Many VRBO type rentals are in very crowed areas near the beach etc.....this was quite the opposite and a very pleasant experience. The very walkable property with a pleasant lake shoreline and pier gave an added value to an already great stay. The living area was more than adequate and gave you the feeling of home that is sometimes missing in these places. The owner was available to answer all questions and to assist in a great stay. Don't miss this one!

Great cottage and the grounds are beautiful. The only issue I encountered was accessing WiFi.

Thank you, for your complements on the cottage and grounds as we try to assure our guests a comfortable stay.... As a new property we had a bump in the road however, I am happy to say that we have resolved the password issue and the cottage is now connected to WiFi.... :)
